Adam snorted.
"Anyway, I think its getting late. Let's go back to the castle" Adam said "And not a word about any of this to anyone else. If this gets out, I'm going to be in so much trouble."
We all nodded earnestly in unison.
The week passed by quicker than I would've liked. We went horseback riding, and showed them the secret gaming room. Soon afterwards, I was waving bye to my friends. We didn't know the next time we would meet, but hoped it would be soon.
During the duration of their stay, we intently brainstormed ideas of what Leopold should do. However, we weren't able to make our far-fetched ideas work with the reality of the situation. The only way for Leo to break his engagement with Abigail and stay with Natalie would be near impossible.
Soon after, I waved bye to my friends after receiving tearful farewells and bone crushing hugs.
School was going to begin in less than 3 days. Adam had explained to me that we would be flying to the school a day early to help me get situated with the new surroundings. So, I technically only had 2 days left. I couldn't put into words how scared I actually was.
First I found out I was actually a long "lost" princess, and now I had to deal with going to a new school, especially a boarding school for rich and snobby teenagers. I, for one, did not classify myself as a rich nor snobby teenager. I was the most average person I knew, besides me being a princess.
Most of my personal items were already packed in my suitcase, and all I had left to pack was a backpack with a few personal supplies for the trip.
I could count the number of times I had seen my parents on one hand. To say that I was disappointed when they didn't come to bid us farewell when we left for our private plane, was an understatement.
Leo had been forced to bring Abigail with us and they sat near the front. Adam sat in behind me, and I was two seats away from Abigail.
I could only describe Abigail as the stereotypical rich blonde girl, no offense to blondes. She was ditzy, and her high pitched giggles infiltrated my headphones. The worst part. I was pretty sure that she wasn't faking it. I turned up my music and closed my eyes. The flight was supposed to only be about a half an hour.
I had tried gaining as much information as I could from Adam before getting onto the flight. Apparently this school wasn't only for the richest of the richest, but also for children of royal families. I couldn't believe him when he was describing the private airport and ski slopes that were all on the island. When I was growing up, money hadn't been an issues, but we always thought twice about spending money. The kids that went here have probably never had to think twice about purchasing anything in their life.
I was anxious that I wouldn't fit in. That I wouldn't be taken seriously, but rather as someone who was relatively "poor" compared to them for most of my life.
But Adam had assured me that it would be fine. Many people would be interested in making my acquaintance, as I was one of the newest additions to the school.
But all I wanted to do now was have a peace of mind.
