*Flashback*

One shot.
Two shots.
Three.
The shots ring out through the warehouse.
"Now you try, amor, (love)" my grandfather says to me as he hands me the gun. Just aim at the target and fire.
The gun shot goes off.
"I missed, grandpa."
"That's okay, mí amor. Just remember, when you miss, you always have to try again and always remember that even though you're not perfect...you're my blood, too. You hold gifts no one else has, and no one can ever take that from you. You have it in you, you just have to find it." He ruffles my hair and tells me to try again.
What I didn't know then was how important I was to my grandfather.
And how it would be the last time my him and I spent time at this warehouse together.

*Present time*
Grace
As always, my day starts off with that stupid, annoying, dreadful invention they call an alarm clock.
Today is my first day at a new job and I do not want to be late again.
I manage to get out of bed, which will never be easy for me. Even if the apartment was on fire, it would still take about a good ten minutes to crawl out of my bed.
I hop in the shower and turn on my music and start singing. Well...more like yelling because when I sing I sound like a dying bird.
When I get out of the shower, I get dressed in a dark blue dress shirt and black jeans with black heel boots. I comb my hair into a high pony tail, grab my apartment keys and head downstairs to catch a cab before 7:30. I can't wait until I can actually stay at that house I work in. I hate having to spend money on a cab everyday just for it to take me a good 20 minutes uptown. Besides, I could sleep in longer if I stayed there.

I make it to the house with ten minutes to spare. I unlock the door with the key Lorenzo gave to me and walk in.
I was a little skeptical about coming back here. Why? Because I'm not a dumb female. I did my research on Capos and Dons.
Lorenzo probably thought I didn't care what he said and I would just drop it. Wrong! On the way back home from yesterday, I looked it up. What I found was...interesting. However, what I know is my business and what they don't know is also my business. Who knows? Maybe I can do a little spying while I'm here. Besides, it won't be my first time dealing with this sort of thing.
"Hello? Lorenzo? Hey, that rhymed."
I keep looking around when I make it to the kitchen and there's a note on the fridge.
"Grace, Mr. Romano doesn't usually come down until 8:30 so please prepare his breakfast before he comes down. He's not very picky about his breakfast so make whatever. All the best, Lorenzo."
Seems pretty simple enough.
Mr. Romano. I wonder what he looks like. He must pretty old to be the Don of a mafia since all of them are usually old. Must need a lot of help too if he can't even make himself breakfast.
I open the fridge to find one carton of eggs, three little pieces of bacon and half a carton of orange juice.
"Wow, this looks like my fridge. However, I'm single and sad and I live alone. Guess I need to do some shopping."
