Chapter 15: Steve

When the high pitched noise started, I watched as Atlantia collapse in pain before her eyes turned blue which I think means she is incapacitated. Once the noise stopped I could hear this weird clanking noise and someone slowly saying "Worthy". I turned and stood up stepping in front of Atlantia wanting to protect her. There was a mismatched robot that looked to be made out of old material that was just laying around. It stopped pacing an turned toward us and spoke.

"No. How could you be worthy? You are all killers. The only who could be worthy is that girl lying there in pain." the weird robot said.

"Stark," I said to Tony.

"Jarvis," He said in response trying to get him to do something or report.

"I'm sorry. I was asleep. Or...I was a dream," the robot said babbling.

"Reboot. We need you here. We got a buggy suit." Tony muttered under his breath while typing on his phone still trying to get Jarvis to help fix the problem. I turned my attention back to the robot who continued to talk.

"There was this terrible noise." the robot said grabbing his head," and I was tangled in...in... strings. Had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy."

"You killed someone?" I asked him.

"Wouldn't have been my first call. But...down in the real world we're faced with ugly choices." He responded quickly.

"Who sent you?" Thor asked. The robot then plays a recording that sounds a lot like Tony that saids:

"I see a suit of armor around the world." It doesn't ring any bells for me but Bruce immediately recognizes it.

"Ultron." He saids looking at Tony.
"In the flesh." Ultron says standing taller, " Or no, not yet. Not this... chrysalis. But I am ready. I'm on a mission." I see in front of me Agent Hall load her gun and stand up.

"What mission?" she asked facing him.

"Peace in our time." Ultron responds. Then Tony's Iron legend robots fly out and attack us. Two fly straight toward me so I pick up the table to use as a shield but it does nothing as I am pushed on to my back. I could see Thor going after one out of the corner of my eye. I also see Dr. Cho pulling Atlantia's body to a safe spot to hide. I get back up and launch myself at the robot trying to shoot Nat and Bruce hiding behind the bar. The robot then turns on its thrusters and pushes into the wall with me as a cushion. I release my hold on it and crumble to the ground. I then see Tony jump onto him from the balcony and try to disable him. Thor launches a robot that was missing its legs toward the ground. It gets up and turns toward where Dr. Cho and Atlantia were hiding. I run toward the robot and grab it and throw it toward Thor.

"Thor," I yell to get his attention. He swings his hammer and pummels the robot to the ground. I see Tony disable the robot he was dealing with and they crash to the ground. Natasha was trying to get a shot on the last one but just could not get a clear shot.

"Cap," I hear Clint yell running with my shield. He throws it at me and I throw it at the last robot effectively destroying it.

" That was dramatic," I hear Ultron say. We all turn toward him. "I'm sorry I know you mean well...You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if its not allowed to...evolve."

" Look at these," Ultron continues picking up remains of one of the iron legend. "These puppets. There's only one path to peace: The Avenger's extinction." At those words, Thor throws his hammer effectively destroying Ultron. As the lights in his eyes go out, we hear "I had strings but now I am free."
