Chapter 19: Atlantia

A couple hours later, I heard Clint tell us that we had arrived. I sat up and tried to stand but apparently my body is still recovering so I fell to the ground as I tried to stand. Cap quickly came to my rescue and picked me up bridal style and followed Clint who was helping Natasha out of the plane. I looked around and saw we were outside some large farmhouse. I hear Thor ask Tony,"What is this place?"

"A safe house?" Tony answers unsure.

"Let's hope." Clint answers. He walks up to the door and when he opens it says," Honey, I'm home." Then I see some heavily pregnant woman walk toward us from what I assume is the kitchen.

"Hi, company. Sorry I didn't call ahead." Clint apologized to the woman.

" Hey,"She responds with a kiss to Clint. I hear Tony whispering to Thor that the woman was some type of agent but I highly doubt that.

"Gentlemen and Atlantia this is Laura."Clint interrupts my thoughts.

"I know all your names. Clint does Atlantia need medical attention?" Laura asked noticing me being carried.

"I don't need medical attention but if you have somewhere I can rest I will be able to heal myself in a couple of hours." I answer. She immediately calls for a Cooper and Lila. Two small children come running in and I assume they must be her and Clint's children.

"Dad," The girl who I assume is Lila says launching herself into Clint's arms.

"I see her." Clint says while kissing his son's head who I believe is Cooper.

" Cooper, Lila would you mind helping this young girl to a room to rest. She needs some rest in order to heal."

"Is she a hero like Dad?" Lila asks her mom. Laura looks at me for approval to tell them and I nod my head to give her the go ahead cause I didn't care.
" Yes Lila. The young girl is Atlantia but her secret identity is The Siren. She has saved a lot of people but now you can be her hero by letting her rest." Laura tells her daughter and son. They immediately run to Cap and pull him toward what I guess is their bedroom. Cap puts me on the bed and then leaves. The young children come running to sit by my side on the bed.

"What's it like being a hero?"

"Have you saved my dad's life?"

"Is it scary being a hero?"

"What are your superpowers?"

"Whoa whoa. Slow down guys." I say with a smile on my face," Its tough being what you guys call a hero. You see a lot of death which makes me really sad and most of the times its a lot of work. I have saved your dad's life once but I am pretty sure he would have survived without my help. It is super scary being a hero. You never know if its going to be your last fight or what you are going to have to fight next. I have a lot of superpowers but how about you ask your dad about that and give me a chance to rest so I can heal." They nod their head after listening carefully to my words and they sprinted out of the room while still closing the door behind them. I fall asleep with a smile on my face when I hear the children yelling questions about my powers at their dad and their mom trying to shush them telling them they needed to be quiet for me.

When I awoke I saw the sun had set and I could smell something cooking. I got up and took a shower and then summoned a new outfit for myself. I walked out and saw a dinner was placed on the table with a note next to it.

Hope you are feeling better Atlantia. The rest of the team already ate but I made sure to save some.

I smiled at the note and used my powers to heat it. Just as I was about to take a bite, the rest of the team except Thor walk into the kitchen. Following behind them is Nick Fury.

"What's going on," I asked them confused.

"Fury has information on Ultron and apparently he is here to motivate us." Tony answers.

Fury glares at him but then says,
"Ultron took you folk out to buy himself time. My contacts all say he's building something. The amount of Vibranium he made off with, I don't think its, just one thing."

"What about Ultron himself?" Steve asks.

"Ah. He's easy to track, he's everywhere. Guy's multiplying faster then a Catholic rabbit. Still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans." Fury answers.

"He still going after launch codes?" I ask still eating.

"Yes he is, but he's not making any headway." Fury confirms.

"I cracked the Pentagon firewall in high school on a dare." Tony states with a smirk.

"Yeah well I contacted our friends at NEXUS about that." Fury says in reply.

"NEXUS?" Steve asks confused.
"It's the world's international hub in Oslo,every byte of data flows through there, fastest access on Earth." Bruce clarifies.

"So what they'd say?" Clint asks.

"He fixated on the mission, but the codes are constantly being changed." Fury answers.

"By whom?" Tony asks.

"Parties unknown." Fury says in reply.

"Do we have an ally?" Natasha asks hopeful.

"Ultron's got an enemy, that's not the same thing. Still, I'd pay folding money to know who it is." Fury says turning to me. I look up from my half-eaten plate.

"I am not going to tell you because it will change the future and it will prevent the path I want to happen." I tell him with a glare. He quickly turns away after that.

"I can visit NEXUS to find our "unknown." Tony says.
"Well this is good times boss, but I was kind of hoping when I saw you, you'd have more than that." Natasha says looking at Fury.

"I do, I have you. Back in the day, I had eyes everywhere, ears everywhere else. Here we all are, back on earth, nothing but our wit, and our will to save the world. So stand. Outwit the Platinum Bastard." Fury states.

"Steve doesn't like that kind of talk." Natasha said slyly.

" You know what Romanoff?" Steve said trying to glare at her while having her smile mischievously at him.

"So what does he want?" Fury asks inpatient.

"To become better," Steve responds braking his glare away from Nat, "Better than us. He keeps building bodies."

"Person bodies. The human form is inefficient, biologically speaking, we're outmoded. But he keeps coming back to it." Tony added.

"When you two," Natasha began pointing to Bruce and Tony,"programmed him to protect the human race, you amazingly failed." 

"They don't need to be protected," Bruce thought out loud," they need to evolve. Ultron is going to evolve."

"How," Fury asks. I immediately look into the future and saw an event that definitely should not unfold.

I quickly stood and said,"You guys need to get to Dr. Cho now."They all looked at me confused.

"Atlantia what is happening?" Steve asked carefully like he was talking to a scared animal. I looked around and realized in my fright I had accidentally began to use my earthquake power. I quickly stopped it and began to explain.

"Ultron is trying to use Dr. Cho's cradle to create a new body for himself made of Vibranium. We need to move now. Tony you should head to NEXUS to find the unknown hacker and Steve, Clint, Natasha and myself can go stop Ultron. Fury take Bruce back to the tower." I say quickly. They immediately begin to prep. I hope we will not be too late.
