The Daughter of the Gods Book 1: A New Beginning

Chapter 22: Atlantia

I shadowed traveled to the center of Sokovia and started to walk around watching all the people evacuate. Wanda was manipulating their minds to get them to evacuate and then convincing those who didn't evacuate. I was walking by a church when Tony flew and landed next to me.

"He's in there." Tony tells me.

"I'm coming with you but you get first hit." I tell him. He nods then flys into the church. I run after him.

"Come to confess your sins." Ultron says immediately when we enter.He turns around and sees me. "You may become a problem so I apologize in advance for what happens but I will try not to kill you. You are the only one worthy enough to live. You look into the future to see what would lead to the better outcome no matter the cost which makes you strong."

I glare at him,"I can't say the same about you. If I didn't promise Tony the first hit, you would already be dead."

"Uhhh have you been juicing?" Tony interrupts," A little Vibranium cocktail? You're looking, I don't want to say puffy..."

"You're stalling to protect the people." Ultron accuses turning his attention to Tony.

"Well that is the mission.Did you forget?" Tony asks.

"I've moved past the mission." Ultron says. Then something made if Vibranium erupts through the ground. "What? Did you think you were the only ones stalling? This is how you end Tony. This is peace in my time." Then Ultron's army begins to attack the city. I immediately shadow traveled to the bridge because that was where the most civilians were. I hear over the comms," Cap you've got incoming."

"Incoming already came," I hear Cap respond in pain." Stark you worry about bringing the city back down. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off." Thanks Cap. Nice to know you care. I begin to pull people out of the cars and shadowed travel to the nearest hospital. When I returned from my first trip, I am attacked by a group of robots. I can see out of the corner of my eyes two cars that began to slip off the bridge but I am relieved when I see Steve running past me and toward the cars. I focus my attention on the robots in front of me. I summon my Hephaestus powers and I am soon able to make the robots in front of me malfunction so I could easily destroy them. I immediately feel dizzy from my use of powers. I have been using my powers too much these past few days. I hear a robot approach Steve from behind me. I get up with some difficulties but I can still make out the robot and Steve and some woman running by me.

The robot begins to talk with Ultron's voice, "You can't save them all. You'll never..." He never got a chance to finish because Steve throws him off the edge of the bridge.

"You'll never what? You didn't finish." Steve yells after the robot. He notices me and was about to run toward me when Thor comes flying up with the other car that fell. To Thor he says,"What were you napping?" Thor just ignores him and runs up to me.

"Here Atlantia." He says handing me a piece of Ambrosia. I take it and slowly eat it and my dizziness fades. I nod at him to signal that I am fine. Thor and Steve then run toward the center of town and I follow once I had finished the Ambrosia. Immediately, we are attacked by hoards of robots. I summon my wind power to take down all the ones in the air and slammed them into the ground. Most of them shattered into pieces but some got back up and flew straight toward me. I summon a set of throwing knives since I can summon any hand weapon because of Ares being one of my fathers. I throw one into each of the robots flying at me. They all immediately collapse once the knife impaled their brains. I then hear Clint state on the comms that it was all clear where he and Wanda was.

Steve responds with, "We are not clear! We are very not clear."

"Alright, coming to you." Clint says.I refocus on the robots in front of me. As I send water into each of the robot's system, I see Ultron carrying Thor away from the battle. I am not too worry because I know Thor can handle himself. I easily destroy all the robots in front of me. I stand up amd watch as Nat and Cap work together to destroy the last one. The three of us work together to help the civilians in the area into a nearby building.

"The next wave's gonna hit any minute. What have you got Stark?" Steve asks.

"Well nothing great. Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface if you guys can get clear." Tony replys sadly.

"I asked for a solution not an escape plan." Steve says.

"Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're going to have to make a choice." Tony states.

"I have a solution." I state," I can slowly lower this city but there is a high chance I would die and when I lower the city any of the building could easily collapse and hurt or even kill any of the civilians so you need to get them off this piece of rock." I listen into the comms but don't hear anything but then Cap's speak.

"Atlantia I can't let you sacrifice your life. You are only 13 years old. You shouldn't have had to go through the things you did. All of us had made a promise to make sure you have the best life possible and I won't break that promise."

"It's ok Steve. There are worse ways to go. I watch my friends and family go in worse way at least I get an amazing view." I say looking out into the horizon.

"Glad you like the view Atlantia. Its about to get better." I hear Fury on the comms. I look around but then the Helicarrier shows up and alines itself with the floating city.

"Nice right?" Fury continues," I pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty but she will do."

"Fury, you son of a bitch." Steve says in shock over the comms.

"Ooooh. You kiss your mother with that mouth." Fury says smirking. A few moments later I see the lifeboats come flying toward the city.

"This is Shield?" I hear Pietro ask.

"This is what Shield is supposed to be." Steve says proudly.

"This is not so bad." Pietro admits happily.

"Let's load them up." Steve said running to father civilians.
