As I stepped into the lifeboat, I was really hoping that Atlantia would be alright. I couldn't live with myself if a thirteen year's death was because I wanted the city to survive and not get blown up by Tony. As I grab the top of a seat to stabilize myself when the lifeboat lifts off, I watch as Thor flys to Atlantia's location. The lifeboat docks into the helicarrier and I hurry to the bridge. As I get there, I see the city start to plummet toward the surface.
"Follow that damn city." I hear Fury say right before the helicarrier begins to descend. I run toward the window and watch as the city plummets until it stops suddenly. I smile. Atlantia was able to hold the city. Now she just has to slowly lower it while keeping it from going to fast. Each second seems like an hour because any of those seconds could mean the end of the human population. We watch as she reaches the 10,000 feet mark and we know she is almost there. Then we hear Vision on the comms talking to someone."Your afraid," Vision says. Who's afraid?
"Of you?" the other voice scoffs. Ultron
"Of death." Vision corrects."You're the last one." Thanks god or gods I don't know any more.
"You were supposed to be the last. Stark asked for a savior, and settled for a slave." Ultron sneered.
"I suppose we're both disappointments." Vision says matter-factly. I hear Ultron chuckle but don't continue to listen in. Instead I check if Atlantia has made any progress in her dangerous descent. I realize she is only 5,000 feet above the surface and the helicarrier had actually stopped about 8,000 feet above the surface in order to keep a safe distance from the flying city if it does crash down. I watch for a few minutes before tuning back into the conversation between Ultron and Vision.
" Well I was born yesterday." Vision states. I hear a shout from Ultron before hearing. Vision announce in the comms that Ultron is officially dead. There's a mini celebration in the room before everyone focusing back on Atlantia lowering the flying city. She is only about 1000 feet above the surface. Apparently Fury had sent drones so now we can see easily what is happening. One of the drones was showing below the flying city. I see these tentacles made of the earth shoot up and connect to the piece of rock. I realize as they slowly and carefully begin to pull the rock to the surface that Atlantia must have used another power. I shake my head. How many powers does this girl have? I look into another drone that had made its way to Atlantia and Thor. I see Thor trying to send energy to her but she doesn't seem to be excepting anymore. Atlantia looks really pale and is sweating a lot. The city is getting close to the ground.
"The city is 500 feet from the ground." I hear an agent say,"400,300,200,100..."
"Come on Atlantia, you're almost there." I mumble under my breath. Then it happens. She was able to set the city back into its original position. I watch from the drone, as she collapses onto the ground. I see Thor begin to feed her that demigod medicine. I run to the medical bay that is overfilled with patients.
"Excuse me doctor." I say grabbing the arms of one of the doctors," Are there any life-threatening injuries here?
"At this moment no." She tells me.
"Good," I breathe a sigh of relief." Atlantia is coning back from lowering the city and she is not in good shape so I wanted to see if any doctors were free. " Her eyes widen at the mention of Atlantia actually lowering the city and nods her hear to signal that she will prepare for us. She walks off and begins to prep some nurses and a bed. I walk back out and go wait in the hanger for Thor to bring her back.
Thor finally arrives back with her. I see she is still very pale and with her shirt riding up, I can see a ribs very easily. The powers must be draining her entire body tryin to find energy. I lead Thor to the medical bay. Right when the doors open the doctor and nurse guide Thor to the bed in which he should place Atlantia. They then shoo us from the room telling us that having us here will only affect their work and they will come alert us when there is any news to share. I hope the news we receive is good.
