The week flew by and Friday came around quickly. I had just finished sending off a wedding proposal plan to a couple. Sitting back in my chair, I couldn't help but to think back to Monday night. I found out through Jason that Tanner had been out of the state on business, which explained why I hadn't seen him all week. It was a relief to not have to worry about seeing him at work, or at home. Someone knocked at my door and thankfully interrupted my thoughts.
Glancing up, Kairi waived through the glass and pushed the door open.
"How did you go with your proposal?" She asked.
"Really good thankfully, they seem happy with the pricing and the design layout. I've sent them the contract and once the sign it they will send it back and then we can organise colours and styles for them" I said.
"How exciting" she said with a sigh, "I wish I was getting married" she whined. How she was even single was absolutely beyond me.
"We're going out for drinks and dancing tonight, you should totally come along!" She exclaimed excitedly.
"I don't dance Kairi, but I'll come along for the drinks!" I laughed. She squealed before rounding the desk to explain we were heading to a club downtown that the company had just bought. Apparently they were planning to use it for some of the more relaxed functions the company planned.
"Make sure to bring Jason and tell him if any of his single friends want to come along that would be just fine with me!" She shouted as she disappeared from my office. I smiled at her disappearing figure and turned back to my computer when an email popped up on my screen.
TO: Miss Luna Swan
FROM: Miss Kairi Davidson
SUBJECT: meeting at 3pm - 50th floor
Hi Luna,
I know you're super busy at the moment but you've been requested for a meeting up on level 50. Anne (Mr Blacks PA) said it was quite important.
Good luck and see you tonight at 9 for drinks!

Damn, I wonder why Tanners PA needed to meet with me? I hoped it wasn't about what I thought it was. Glancing down, I noticed the time was 2:52pm. I reached for my swipe pass and strode into the elevator. I selected level 50 and once the doors opened so did my mouth. Dark marble tiles covered the floors and soft velvet chairs sat in the middle of the foyer, a small reception desk sat to the far left hand side. I walked up and caught the attention of Anne, Tanners PA.
"Hi Anne, I'm here to see you, is everything okay?" I asked, slight hesitation in my voice. Anne was the definition of a runway model. Straight black hair that stopped at her jawline, sharp brown eyes and a body most men would willingly die for.
Her eyes snapped up to meet mine, a small smile played on her lips. "Hi Luna, please have a seat in Mr Blacks office to your left". I glanced over at the big double doors and nodded to her in thanks.
I walked over and opened one of the doors. Pushing my way inside, the door closed after me with a quiet thud. I stopped to take in his office. It smelt just like him, rich and intoxicating, with the scent of fresh coffee the air.
Fresh coffee. I stopped walking forward and observed the hot steam rising from the desk in front of me.
"cariño, I've been expecting you" a husky voice from behind me murmured.
Startled I turned around to find him leaning up against the wall near where I had just entered. How did I not see him? I mentally scolded myself for not wearing something nicer to work. I was wearing a casual dark green long sleeved dress with a collar, and some black heels. My hair was half up half down, and I had no makeup on apart from some mascara and eyeliner.
"You look amazing" he said as if he could read my mind. He walked over to me and wrapped his hands around my waist. Instinctively I leaned forward and rested my head on his chest.
"I thought about you the entire time I was away this week, I could hardly get any work done" he whispered against my ear. I realised where I was and took a step back from him. Looking up I met his gaze and responded with "you wanted to see me sir?"
The his green eyes turned dark and he murmured "I like when you call me sir, it's so sexy coming from your mouth." His gaze flicked down to my lips and back up to my eyes. He gestured for me to sit down in one of the two chairs in front of his desk. I sat down and crossed my legs, waiting for a reply. My dress rode up slightly and his eyes narrowed in on my bare thigh.
"What did you want to talk about sir" I said again, knowing full well what it was doing to him. He sat in the chair opposite me and paused for a moment before saying
"I wanted to apologise for my recent behaviour. I've had some personal things going on and I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I hope you'll forgive me" he said sincerely.
"No harm done, I forgive you" I said, and I really meant it.
He leant back in his chair and placed a hand on his chin, as if he was thinking about something.
"There is something else I wanted to talk to you about Luna" he said as he straightened up and leaned in closer to me before saying;
"I want to take you out cariño".
