"so how was your date on Saturday I never asked yesterday?" my mom asks me at breakfast

"so are you two-"

"let's talk about it later," I say interrupting her before she says something that might upset Jack

"mom! I said later okay"

"Jess you can tell them how you guys are dating you don't have to hide it in front of me," Jack says

"I just don't want to bring up-"

"My feelings on Zach cheating it's okay. you should be excited he's your first boyfriend."

"Are you sure?" I ask

"of course. maybe I can date his cute friend Daniel"

"Hallie did say Daniel told her he's bi. do you want me to ask Jonah if Daniel would be interested"

"yeah, that would be nice. I can show Zach that he's missing out on someone amazing"

"wait Zach broke up with you?" my mom asks

"well I broke up with him cause he cheated on me"

"Is that why you two were sleeping together"

"you and jess. I went into her room to see how the date went and I saw you guys sleeping"

"he needed someone to comfort him and so it was me. we used to sleep all the time together what's the matter"

"I'm happy that you two are finally being the twins you guys are supposed to be."

"well when you guys were kids you used to sleep in the same bed and be nice to each other and love each other, but then you guys went into middle school and you stopped. I'm just happy my babies are being my babies"

"sooooo I was thinking that you should come to my house after school today because we need to know each other more. I mean yeah we know a lot about each other but we need a lot more"

"Does this 'more' mean mentally more or physically more"

"well, whatever you want. personally, I like physical if you know what I mean" he winks and I roll my eyes

"we'll see what happens" I pat his shoulder and walk away

he quickly catches up and grabs my hand
