2 days before the expedition"Father, I'm gonna join the Survey Corps and avenge Nee-San's death!" A 10 year old boy says. The father calmly nods while reading the newspaper, but the mother's eyes widens when she heard what the boy said.
"No! You shouldn't join the Survey Corps!" The mother yells, "It's too dangerous!" But the boy was too stubborn, "I'm gonna kill every last one of them," he turns his to head to a certain girl staring at them and points at her, "I'll see you soon, Nee-san!"
Gwen jolted awake, she scanned her surroundings to find herself in Levi's bedroom. She sees Levi peacefully sleeping beside her, and decided not to wake him up.
She slowly got out of bed and tiptoed her way outside. It's still dark and chilly outside, but she shrugged it off, then sat infront of a garden of roses. She hugs the photo to her chest as she cries endlessly.
"Father, mother, brother, I may not remember your names, but I remember loving you. Please, hear me and give me a sign!" She desparately cries out.
A warm blanket wraps around Gwen's shivering body, followed by a warm embrace. "Oi, brat. What are you doing out here again?"
Gwen wraps her arms around Levi and sobs in his chest. Levi didn't mind getting soaked in tears, he embraces Gwen and comforts her.
"Nightmare?"
Gwen nods.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Gwen stays silent for a minute, then she opens her palms and shows him a picture of her family. Levi examines the photo, "is this you're family?"
"My aunt said they died," Gwen said in between tears, "I didn't even remember their names!"
Levi's eyes landed on her brother, the same brown hair and turquoise eyes.
"He died when he was 7 years old, still don't remember the reason. But I just...I just feel like he's alive!""I'm sure he is." Levi says in a soft tone.
Gwen's head rests on Levi's shoulder as she snores quietly. A smile crepts up in Levi's face, he gently picks her up careful not to wake her up, and returns to the room.

"The cadets are now ready for the upcoming expedition, Erwin!"
Erwin nods and continued walking to the training grounds. He watched the cadets train diligently, they've improved their hand to hand combat skills, 3D Maneuver skills, and even learned new techniques taught by Gwen herself.
Levi sits in his office doing paperwork while Gwen helps the cadets train, as always. Levi and Gwen doesn't really hang out in the daytime, due to work, only at nights where they cuddle each other.
A knock came from Levi's door, he sighs with annoyance. "State your name and business for knocking on my damn door."
"Petra Ral, sir. And I have something to talk about."
"Come in."
Petra slowly closes the door and steps in. "What do you want?" Levi says in a cold, monotone voice.
"It's about Lieutenant Gwen and cadet Hiruka Niyuri."
"What about them?"
"They're secretly dating."
Levi freezes and stops scribbling he leans forward, eyebrows furrowed. "What makes you say that, cadet?"
"They spend too much time together."
"Don't be fucking ridiculous, Ral. She's just training him."
"I saw them went in and out multiple times deep in the woods." Petra fiddles with her fingers.
Levi was stunned and don't know wether to believe it or not, then Petra continues talking. "I-I f-found these letters, love letters perhaps, in her room all addressed to cadet Niyuri, with her signature." She hands Levi 3 papers.
He opens and reads them all, he still keeps his stoic face on but anger is now welling up inside him as he crumples the paper. "You may now leave Ral."
Petra nods and walks out.
What the actual fuck? She's cheating on me? With that pathetic squadmate of hers? Levi punches the wall to his right then left then right. He thrashed his papers to the ground, he slams a chair to the door and collapse to the ground.
Of course I should have known, I can't believe I trusted her. Levi clenched his fists and a tear runs down his cheek.
Meanwhile, Petra leaves the office smiling at her achievement.
