I pulled into the driveway at the twins house and took a deep breath. Grayson asked me to come over and help them film because Kyle is sick; but I've never really hung out with them without Emma or Bryant here, so this is a little overwhelming.
I turned off the car and locked it before walking up to the front door and knocking.
"It's open Mads." Ethan yelled from inside the house. I opened the door and walked to their filming studio and saw them sitting there doing an intro to their video. I leaned up against the wall across from them not wanting to interrupt.
"Maddie, I missed you." Grayson said once they finished the intro. He walked over to me and gave me a tight hug, kind of lifting me up in the process.
"We saw each other like two days ago Grayson." I said once he finally put me down.
"I know, but still." He said, scratching his neck.
"What did you guys need me for?" I asked, still not having any idea what I was helping them with.
"We need you to be out mom." Ethan said, getting up and walking towards the back yard.
"Excuse me?"
"We're going to pretend to be in the womb again and we need you to act like our mom and feed us and help us fill our sac with amniotic fluid." He explained further.
"Ohhh....Kay..." I say trailing off, looking at them confused.
"It's not going to be hard, it could be fun." Grayson said, taking the ball thing out of the box.
............. That was THE weirdest thing I have ever done in my life. I can almost guarantee that I'm going to have nightmares about that for weeks.
We were getting in Ethan's car to go grab a bite to eat when my mom FaceTimed me.
"Hey ma." I said. "Hi pumpkin. What are you doing?" "Oh, I'm just going to eat." "Are you in one of those oovers? That doesn't look like your car." Grayson and Ethan chuckled from the front seat. "No, it's the backseat of my friends car." "Oooo. Are you with your boyfriend you were telling me about?" "Actually mom we're about to go through a dead spot I'll call you la-" I turned off the microphone and stopped moving, hoping it would look like to my mom that the FaceTime lagged. "Honey. You stopped moving. I guess it's bad signal. I'll call you later. I love you."
And the call ended. I released the breath I was holding and sighed.
"I can't believe that actually worked." Ethan said, looking at me through the rear view mirror.
"It's not the first time that I've done that." I said, leaning my head against the back of the seat.
"You have a boyfriend?" Grayson asked, kind of moody if you ask me.
"Uh, no. I just told my mom I did so she would stop asking about it."
"Who'd you tell her you were dating?" Ethan asked.
I paused and looked between him and Grayson, so glad that I was sitting in the backseat because I was probably 59 shades of red at the moment.
"Oh...uh...I didn't go too deep into the specifics of it. I just told her that he lives out here in LA and I met him though a mutual friend and that he was a good guy."
"She's a mom though." Grayson said, turning around in the seat to look at me. "What did you say to her when she pestered on and wanted to know more?"
"I don't really...I don't remember." I said, trying my harder to lie.
"Mhm." Both of them said at the same time.
"Fine." Ethan said, huffing. "Don't tell us. I just thought that friends told each other everything."
"Trust me bud, if I told you everything about my life, you'd run for the hills." I sighed.
