"I'm going to need for you to back track just a few words. Did you just say that Kamden's family is moving out here?" I asked, dropping the pot that I had into the sink and turning around to look at Melody. "Why?"

"He said that his dad has a client who's on trial out here and he thinks it going to be a long one so they have to move here for the length of the trial."

"Okay." I said crossing my arms across my chest. "What does that mean for you guys?"

"I think he wants to try and get back together and work things out."

"Is that what you want?" I asked. She stirred her cereal around with her spoon and sighed.

"I don't know." She said. "What do you think I should do?"

"I don't want you to end up in a situation like I did with Dylan, but ultimately it's your decision and you need to do whatever is going to be best for you and the twins that you're growing."

"I think maybe we should just stay friends, it'll probably make everything easier." She said, taking another bite.

"I'm going to support you in any decision that you make." I said, turning back around to finish the dishes.

"When are you going to buy a dish washer?" Melody asked after a few minutes of silence.

"We don't need a dish washer." I said, reaching my hand down in the sink to pull the plug and let the water out. "We're both perfectly capable of washing the dishes."

I dried my hands on the towel hanging on the stoves and walked away.

"Hurry and finish so we can go. You can't be late."

"I know. I know."

"Okay Miss Matthews, the twins are looking great. I would say that we are still on track for a mid January due date, baring any complications."

Melody look and the doctor and nodded, taking the napkin from him to wipe her stomach with. He handed me the sonogram pictures and I stuck them in my purse.

She stood up and walked to the car. I think she's upset because Kamden said he was going to come but then claimed that he got stuck in traffic and didn't end up making it here.

I got in the car and buckled up, making sure everything was secure before we drove off because we brought the Jeep with no doors today.

"I know something that will make you feel better." I said hitting the button to turn on my Jeep.

"A baby daddy that's actually committed." She mumbled, her head laid against the back of the seat..

"Well I don't have that," I said backing out of the parking spot. "But I do have money and I'm feeling generous."

"How much can I spend?" She asked, peeking up a little bit.

"How much until you stop moping?"

"$1000?"

"Really? That's it?" I said looking at her since I had to wait behind another car trying to leave the parking lot. "I was expecting a higher number."
