It's been a few days since my birthday and I still jump every time someone knocks on the door. My mom, Myles and dad left to go back to North Carolina two days ago and Melody started her online schooling.
Right now we are at her doctors appointment, and she's hoping to find out the genders of her twins today, but I don't think she will.
"I like Symphony and Harmony?"
"For names?" I asked, looking up from my phone at her.
"Yeah. If they're both girls."
"Symphony and Harmony?" I asked, confirming if I heard her right.
"Yeah, you know, since my name is Melody."
"Yeah, no, I knew where you came to with them from. I just don't think you're going to still want them named that 15 years down the road."
"What? They're cute names."
"Sure they are."
"You don't like them?" She asked looking over at me.
"I mean..." what do you do in this situation. Lie to a pregnant woman or hurt her feelings? "they're....names."
"You hate them."

"Alright Melody, Baby A is definitely a girl." The doctor said looking between the screen and Melody.
"And the other one?" She asked.
"Baby B is being a little defiant today, I can't get a good look to see a gender. We may have to wait until the next appointment."
"But one of them is definitely a girl?" I asked, uncrossing my arms and walking towards the screen.
"Yes. You are going to be the aunty to at least one little girl." The doctors said smiling and pressing the button to print off the pictures.
"Alright thank you so much doctor." I said, taking the pictures from her and smiling.
"Alright, What gives?" Melody asked as we walked out to the car.
"What do you mean?"
"You've been acting weird the past couple of days?"
