My first instinct was to grab the nearest thing I could. Smooth skin and a hard shell was directly against me, constricting me from grabbing anything other than Raphael. His arm was wrapped securely around my waist and I was astonished with how he hadn't dropped me.
We landed on the ground much quicker than I had anticipated. The hot-head rolled and protected my head from the concrete at my feet. The sudden stop surprised me but I had no time to question what had happened before Raphael pulled me behind a dumpster, where the shadows cascaded over it.
With my heart racing from the rush and my breaths quietly staggered from fear, I was certain we would get found by whoever had attempted to murder me.
That must have been the horrid pit in my stomach. I had the worst feeling something was going to happen to me if I went up there, yet I still scaled the wall and sat away from my closest escape. At first, I assumed it was Fong trying to kill me. There was the possibility of him trying to end me instead of going through the trouble of capturing my father.
Raphael's large hands suddenly covered my mouth. I was utterly confused and anxious beyond belief, but I did not struggle against his tactics. He was the much more skilled person behind the rancid smelling container and I did not want to interfere.
Someone in a full black suit with a red bandanna tied around their forehead wielding a katana climbed down the fire escape. They hung near the last part of the metal structure and scanned the area. Upon the roof we had just jumped from were two more men identical to the first.
In the time I had spent living in this city, these men had never appeared. It was always the Purple Dragons, but if this was them trying to assassinate me, why would they disguise their faces?
After many painful seconds of watching the unknown samurai in unbearable silence, I pulled his hand from my mouth and barely mumbled.
"Who are they?"
Suddenly pulling me closer to himself, his mouth was directly next to my ear. The mysterious man jumped down to the concrete below while his companions started down the escape with their own weapons out.
"The Foot Clan," he mumbled. "Stay here."
His body behind mine disappeared and I was left alone.
One after another, the men in black disappeared into the shadows. Raphael was taking them out stealthily. The final one was dropped beside the dumpster in front of me and I watched as Raphael put his sais back in their holsters.
"Come on," He said. I allowed him to help me up and I dusted myself free from the debris I was seated atop. My eyes scanned over the three Foot Clan members who stood no chance against him and I shivered.
"Thank you," I blurted.
Shaking his head in approval, he grabbed me and started to scale up the fire escape. His smile was evident in front of me for a half of a second and it made me smile, as well.
"No problem."

Crawling through the window was a bit more of a challenge than I thought it would be. I was only carrying my sweater and the bottle I drank barely any water from when I hit my arm. Pain shot through and it stung like salt in a wound.
My savior followed me into my apartment and as soon as his feet hit the floor, the group that still resided in the kitchen locked on us. Donatello's eyes were the first to widen, then a chain reaction was set off and they all raced over.
