A Race Below the Gods
"Klyde!" I heard Aaron call out. We looked to our left and saw both my mates. Stephen guided Aaron as the latter held on to Stephen's shoulders for support. A red stain was present on Aaron's leg.
"What happened?" Stephen asked as he gazed on the burnt ground.
"You take point, Klyde. I'm tired." Klint let me take over.
"So there's this light, and it swallowed Olivia," I said to them, my strength fading away.
Stephen walked towards the burnt grass. "What happened here?"
"Wait, our pups?" Stephen asked. I placed my hand on my stomach.
There were no heartbeat.
"Shit," I spat, my hands desperately searched for signs of life.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
I sighed really heard when I found the heartbeats. "They're okay," I said.
"You need a rest," Aaron said, carrying me bridal style. "Stephen, you coming?"
"Aaron, you're in pai-," my mate shushed me. Damn.
"Yeah, wait up!"
That night, the witches and fairies came to the newly built great pack hall where they danced all night.
Me? I enjoyed being smothered in bed with my mates, a few hundred meters from the ongoing party.
When I woke up, I heard people arguing. I didn't opened my eyes yet.
"She's a traitor!" Stephen barked.
"She's your sister!" Margaret barked back.
"She stopped being my sister the moment she took the witch's favor!" Stephen yelled, his voice angry but at the same time, it was filled with pain.
"Love, wake up," Aaron whispered, gently tapping my shoulder.
"What's happening?" I asked themn as I pretend yawning.
"Kaitlyn is outside, she said she wants to talk to you," Stephen said, he's still angry.
"Let her talk to me. I have some questions too," I replied, giving him a gentle smile and placed my arms over his shoulders.
"Which are?" Aaron asked, clearly wanting some of my attention. So I placed my legs over his lap.
"Why was she with the gods."
"So you saw me through my disguise," Kaitlyn asked. Ropes were rolled over her arms and body. I told Stephen it was unnecessary but he and Aaron insisted.
"More like, smelled you," I spat, sassiness filled my voice. From Kaitlyn's back, Margaret gave me a proud smirk.
"Why were you there?" I asked her.
"Klyde-"
I cut her off, "Answer me." My mates' eyes widened in surprise. "You know I was pregnant when you took me. You knew that you would be sacrificing me and my children just for your own personal goal-"
It was her to cut me off this time, "I'm sorry!"
"You think 'sorry' is gonna fix it?" Stephen asked.
Jeez! He's really pissed off.
"Calm down, babe. Let her talk," Aaron said, rubbing our mate's shoulder.
"The ritual the Witch gave me. It wasn't a Revival Ritual, it was how to turn into a Titan," Kaitlyn asked.
"Shingeki no Kyojin?" Brent asked while entering the room. "What about it?"
We all gave him a warning look, "The tension was so thick, man! It was thicker than my co-"
"We don't need to hear more about your cock, Brent," Margaret cut him off.
"What are... titans?" I asked, returning my attention to Kaitlyn.
"A race," Kaitlyn answered. I lift my left eyebrow, demanding more answers, "A race just below the gods."
