The Witch's Crescent Necklace

"Are you threatening us?" Stephen asked.

"How could I threaten the pack that raised me?" Kaitlyn asked back. I could feel her sincerity. I think it's time to cut her some slack.

"Uhh, no," Stephen said through the link.

"Stephen, you're being a kid," Aaron snickered.

"I am not!" Stephen defended, in all childish way possible.

"Wait, if we take you in, how will we benefit from it?" I asked Kaitlyn.

She stared at me, lips parted, then she chuckled. "What's so funny?" It was Aaron who asked this time.

Kaitlyn pursed her lips and pointed at my neck, I placed my hand on my chest and I felt my whole world stop.

"You haven't stop wearing it." I patted the crescent shaped necklace one ore time.

"W-What? I-I..." I stuttered. Olivia's necklace. I still have it.

"It was the Witch's plan all along," Kaitlyn said meekly, her feelings was all but bluff but I still feel a hint of concern in her voice.

"What?" Stephen asked, then he stood up and tried to remove the necklace, "No, stop!" Kaitlyn yelled.

My mate was thrown away by a purplish gust of air. "That necklace is cursed," Kaitlyn said.

"And I'm here to help you Klyde. The gods are angry, and they want to kill you. Olivia? She's still out there, somewhere. And she wants to kill you too," Kaitlyn walked towards me.

"The ropes, h-how did you..." I stuttered. Aaron growled at Kaitlyn while Stephen ran to my side.

She placed her hand on my cheek, "Let me make it up to you," she then lowered her hands. Before I knew it, she murdered something under her breath, "By the power of the moon, I remove the curse!" she yelled.

Her hands glowed white as she snatched the necklace from my neck. "Olivia! Die, bitch!" Kaitlyn crushed the stone necklace with her bare hands.

"Klyde!" my mates called out as I felt myself being pulled down, my energy all drained.

"What happened to him?" Stephen asked me, his anger was thrown out the window and worries took its place.

"Drained. Olivia has been feeding with their energy. She's-"

Stephen cut her off, "Wait, wait. 'Their'? Olivia knows that he's-"

"Pregnant, yes."

"I... can't breathe," I said, panting aa I felt my energy drain down.

"Give him water," Kaitlyn ordered.

I breathed heavily as I felt myself to the borders of my consciousness, one slip and I'll faint.

Calm down.

How can I calm down?

Breathe, damnit!

I did as was told and breathed normally. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale.

Good.

"Klyde, Olivia was absorbing you and your children's powers. It's time for my payback," Kaitlyn said, holding my hand as tears fell to her cheeks. "I'm so sorry."

She stood up and gave me a smile, "Where are you going?" Stephen asked her.

"The Hollowed Tree. There's a special plant there that can help Klyde retrieve his lunar powers back," Kaitlyn replied, tying her boots.

"I'll go with you," Margaret offered.

"No thanks, Mar-"

"It wasn't a question," Margaret retorted as she walked towards the door.

"Brent?" Stephen called out, "Go with them please."

"Yes, alpha," Brent said before following Kaitlyn.

"Wait for me!" I heard Gaither yell and ran to his mate.

"At least we know that they're safe," Aaron said.

I felt another pang of exhaustion.

"Shit. Please hurry," I said to the link.

"Stephen has taught you well," Kaitlyn teased. I miss this side of her, well, I miss her. "And we will."
