Chapter 10

"Attention Students." The morning announcements screech. It was finally Friday. The week went by pretty fast. I ate lunch with Allie and their friends. We had definitely gotten closer. The girls were awesome. Now its time for Allie to meet my friends.

"Tonight is a skate night. This will be the only one this year, so please come and show support our school. Its only 8 dollars if you say 'Greene' when you pay. Thank you and that is the only announcement. " I look to my friend Aaron. We both evil smile at each other.

Since 7th grade we had gone to skate night together. Not as a date but to prank people. Ya, its not the nicest thing, but its fun as hell.

The rest of the class foes by really fast. At the end of class I feel my butt buzz. Wow. I'm smart. My phone is in vibrate. I'm smart.

Its Allie. 'Hey Mase' it says.

I laugh and start to reply. 'Mase? Like the thing used on bears?lol.' I press send and finish gathering my things.

I head down the hall and around the corner. I was gonna meet Bree and Logan at the library. We were talking about a surprise date for me and Allie. (Allie is sick today.)

At the skate night

I hold my polaroid camera to my face. I see a familiar figure walk towards me.

"I see you finally showed up." I say. Quickly, I snap a picture.

Flash

"Hey! I wasn't ready!" Allie shouts continuing to take walk towards me. I keep snapping pictures until Allie pulls the camera away from my face. "Sorry, I showed up so late, my dad didn't really want me to hang out with you." She winks and walks to get some skates.

"I could say the same with my mom."

We both laugh. I wait for her to get her skates on. When I think of tonight I can't help but smile.

"Whats so funny?" Allie asks. I watch her stand. She starts to skate to the rink. There are only a few people still here.

"Nothing" I try to catch up with her.

By the time I catch up with her I realize she is a natural. Her long legs moving side to side. She smoothly glides across the rink. This is gonna be more embarrassing the I thought. I probably forgot to mention that I am a terrible skater.

Allie turns around to laugh at me. I make my way to her without falling.

I grab her hand and we go to the corner of the rink. We are now the only ones on the rink. I jump over the railing and turn around. Allie looks confused but follows me. She climbs over and we walk down the hallway in front of us.

I take her hand and after many twists and turns, I find a door.

I open it and lead Allie inside. I hear her gasp.

"Oh my gods." She says. "You did this?" Allie asks. I turn towards her. I wrap my hand around her waist. 

I walk her to the table in the middle of the room. It has a red table cloth and a candle that lights the entire room. Well, its the only light in the room. On the table is also a to steaming trays of Burgers and Fries.

"Not just me. I pulled a few strings. Got the guys to help" I say. She sits and I push her chair in. Can't help to have good manners.

As I sit down I feel fingers intertwine my own. I look at Allie. We both are bright red and smiling.

We both dig in.

After dinner Mason and Allie start skating again.

After almost the first lap I fall on my face. Allie was hold my hand so she is now on the ground too. And knowing how uncoordinated we both are, she lands right on top of me. I turn instantly beat red.

"Why are you so embarrassed?" Allie laughs. She still doesn't get off me.

"I'm not. Its just..."

"Hmmm?" Allie asks. She is still smiling.

"Are we a couple or not?" I ask. Allie stops smiling and gets off me. She offers her hand and pulls me up. Not all the way though we are still on the ground. J look into her eyes. She looks right back.

"I don't know how any of this works." Allie says. "I have never had a boyfriend." What? How is that possible?? Allie is gorgeous and amazing.

"I have, yet still this is different." I say. I'm still confused.

"But to answer your question," Allie starts. "Yes, I want to be your girlfriend. IF you don't break up with me the second you find someone else." My heart starts pounding. I stand up, pulling her with me.

I pull her close. Until there is no space

"There is no one else." I say and my lips meet hers. I don't want this moment to ever end.
