Jae still needed time to comprehend what she just witnessed. It was almost dreamlike.
Alice and Kurtis have completely disowned Linda and are completely ignoring her, like that one scene from Kakegurui. It looked brutal but also quite badass.
Callum and Jakub arrived from the lunch hall and looked around.
"Yo, what's been happening?" Callum leaned forward, inspecting the room.
"Afternoon, my gothic friend." Alice turned to him with a friendly smile. "We're just... chilling. What's up, Jakub?"
"My back hurts."
"Nice." Alice slowly nodded in response to his awkward answer. Meanwhile, Callum was discussing something with Kurtis and Martha.
"Seems interesting. I'm in."
"Great. By the way, we probably won't start until like summer or something." Kurtis clarified with Martha.
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh hi Linda. We're talking about-"
"Callum?" Kurtis interrupted suddenly. "Who are you talking to?" Callum remained confused. "I don't see anyone there."
"...Linda's right there, mate."
"Who's Linda?" Kurtis inquired in a more serious tone. Claudia then whispered something in Callum's ear causing him to understand.
"Ohhh that's what this is? Ok then."
"Yikes." Martha chuckled softly.
"Yeah. Didn't think he'd actually do it." Jae looked at Linda, who was holding onto Claudia while she drank from her thermos. "I mean, she seems fine, though."
"That's true, she does."
"Hey Martha. How do you feel about Linda now? She did slightly ruin your life."
"Actually I don't really care right now. I'm not completely bothered by this because I know it's fake. I'll just leave her be." Martha shrugged and smiled.
"You're so chill about this." Jae remarked, admiring her composure in this situation.
"Haha, well I try." She blushed lightly and moved a strand of hair from her face.
Later after school, Kurtis went through his usual routine of waiting for Alice to accompany him. It was interrupted with the pair of girls approaching him, eager to satisfy their curiosity on his relationship gossip.
"Hey, Kurtis!" Rosa was the first to speak up. Kurtis turned around and looked down in her direction, only waving slightly and turning back to the block Alice was in.
"So I know you've probably been asked this a few times and you're probably annoyed at this point but I just want clarification-"
"Rosa leave him. He's tired of it!" Imarni interrupted her, giggling like a child. Kurtis couldn't care less at this point. He sighed and fully turned to the two.
"What do you want to ask?"
"Are you actually dating Martha or are you still with Alice?" Rosa asked with a slight giggle. Kurtis leaned back and sighed, rubbing his neck.
"I never dated Alice. I'm not dating her now, neither am I dating Martha. Is that all?" Kurtis scratched his head as he answered. He realised as he scratched through his smooth curly black hair that his mother may start bothering him for a haircut. He narrowed his eyes at the thought and turned back to the girls.
"So you're not interested in any of them?" Rosa asked again, taking on a more confused expression. She likely genuinely believed that he was interested in at least one of the two.
"No-" His response was cut short by Alice tapping his arm. "Oh you're here. Ok bye." He walked off with Alice.
"People need to get real lives, man." Alice remarked, giving a brief look at Rosa and Imarni as they walked off.
Meanwhile, Martha and Jae had a sociology booster sprung up on them and where stuck in the dysfunctional classroom together. They got bored and decided talking about everyone in the school would be fun.
"Ok Martha. Pick one. Nathan or Tyrese?"
"Oh my go- that's hard, Jae! ....Tyrese I guess?"
"Ahh good choice. I picked him too." Jae laughed and thought for a second. "So I can't really figure out your personality type but I know your physical type."
"Oh? What's that?" Martha took a sip from her hydroflask she kept hidden in her bag.
"E-boys!" Jae blurted out and snickered. Martha smiled in a shocked manner and laughed as well. It was painfully accurate.
"Jae, I feel so attacked! I don't just like E-boys... I like E-girls too." Martha giggled again as Jae almost burst out in laughter.
"Big mood, Martha. Big mood." Jae chuckled and leaned back on her chair as Martha leaned forward on the desk, laying her head in her arms and looking at Jae. She looked back and they stared for 5 seconds before laughing again.
"Do you wear contacts?" Jae asked after she stopped laughing.
"Hm? Contacts, no. I haven't worked up the bravery to put them on. Why?"
"Oh nothing. Just you have pretty awesome eyes, you know."
"Aww thanks but yours are pretty too!" She smiled and blushed gently, as did Jae.
"Nah, no I don't. Brown is a boring colour to be honest. I'd want your eyes." Jae put her chin in her hands and her elbows on the table, looking down next to Martha.
"You know blue eyes are more susceptible to infections and stuff, right?" Martha lifted her head up and moved some hair from her face.
"...no actually, I didn't know that."
"Well, the more you know, I guess." Martha smiled and took another sip from her flask.
On the other side of the classroom, Diego Simmons and Christen Masoliver caught sight of the two talking. They were also quite bored and seeing as the teacher wasn't controlling the class any time soon, they might as well take this opportunity.
"Oi Chris. Look." Diego subtly gestured to the girls.
"Martha and that new girl? What about them?" Christen leaned back to get a clearer view of them.
"So... they peng?" Diego gave a perverted smile as he turned to Christen, who moved back slightly in disgust.
"Bruuuv, nah you're thirsty."
"So you're saying they ain't peng?"
"Nah I'm not saying that. You just like any girl at this point is what I'm saying. I can't lie, it's actually disgusting." Christen laughed and looked at them. "Besides ain't Martha dating Kurtis?"
"Ahh true, true. He says he's not but I don't believe him, to be honest." Diego shrugged, keeping his eyes on the two and swearing under his breath. Christen turned to him and narrowed his eyes in confusion.
"Nah, nah. You got problems, bruv."
