Break time is only 20 minutes. That's just boring as hell. They never took upon the suggestion to make it ten minutes longer. Now how's Kurtis supposed to do homework in break?
Kurtis, Alice and friends always met up at the cafeteria every break. There they'd meet their other friends.
Today was different though. Kurtis made his way to the cafeteria to find Alice on the bench with another girl. Nice, more friends probably. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like Linda (who hates Kurtis for no real reason).
"Oh hi Kurtis. This is Martha"
"Hi"
Martha Lesley Trundley. Very dark flowing hair and pretty light blue eyes. She was somewhat short compared to Alice and had tiny hands. Like seriously tiny.
Kurtis either stood or sat on the armrest on the other side. An evolutionary precaution to prevent gossip. It was especially easier considering there's now an extra girl in the group.
They all got along well. Kurtis and Martha like the near exact same music (#the1975) and Alice has the same film taste. The friend group has just grown. But hold on.
How did Martha meet Alice?
Looks like we're gonna have to do a bit of a flashback episode now.The last week before summer.
Kurtis has a Doctor appointment so he's not in for the morning, meaning Alice has to buy cookies and go to school by herself. What a pain. She's way too shy to buy it without feeling an intense feeling of awkwardness and self consciousnesses.
She got to her tutor group and found someone sitting in her place, playing with her hair. How dare someone sit in the place of mighty Alice the Awesome?! She will surely- oh never mind she looks nice.
She sat next to her and sort of ignored her existence. It's an evolutionary trait she developed from years of timidness. It's a pretty cool-
"Hi I'm Martha"
Oh well that's kinda surprising. She looked nervous. Wait never mind she is nervous. Why would she push her pride like this. Girl, you didn't have to.
"Alice. Nice to meet you"
She shook her hand quickly and sighed in relief before laughing.
"Sorry I'm a mess"
"Oh, no I had to put in effort to even look in your direction. I'm a mess"
This is how Alice met Martha. Awkward beginning.
