"You're right. I never should have been thanking you. This is brutal!" You threw your head back in a whine before wiping the sweat off your brow.

It was the fifth day in a row that Bakugo had barged into your room in the morning, rudely waking you up to train. The other early mornings consisted of more ice baths, weight training, cardio runs, and a few other unorthodox methods of training.

Today, Bakugo had arrived exceptionally early to drag you to the Dagobah Municipal Beach Park.

It was so early in fact, that not even a single soul (besides you two) were at the beach park yet.

But currently, you were sparring with Bakugo, both of you knee deep in the sea water because you needed to catch your breath.

The point of today's training was for you to increase the length of time you could sustain your fire, especially your flame boost.

Bakugo was pushing for you to basically fight him in the air above the water for as long as you could.

The incentive to stay in the air was simply the fact that you would be dry up there. But it didn't matter now that you had dropped below.

"We're not done, cat girl!" Bakugo's eyes lowered at you before he charged at you. His arms were behind his back, dealing explosions to propel himself in your direction. "Die!!" He was giving you almost no time to react.

You desperately waved your hands in front of your face, teeth already clanking together in anticipation of the ash blonde bullet headed towards you.

"B-Bakugo, w-wait!!"

"Hahh?" Right before Bakugo could get to you, he stopped mid-air.

His thin eyebrows furrowed, his feet slowly landing back on the ground.

You let out a sigh of relief, seeing that the boy actually ceased his attack on you.

"We've mostly been training to improve my quirk...but do you think we can try fighting without using our quirks? I wanna see how physically stronger I've gotten too."

You saw Bakugo squint. You could tell he was taking your suggestion into consideration by the way he looked down at his sizzling palms, a neutral scowl claiming his face.

"Tch, fine." His head raised, looking back up at you with a slight smirk quirking up at the corner of his lips.

He moved towards the shallow part of the water, turning to face you again and got into a fighting stance. One of his palms were balled up into a fist in the air, lower than the other hand that was straight up, gesturing for you to come and engage him in a fight.

A fire lit in your e/c eyes and a smirk ran across your lips. No words were needed as you sprinted towards him, the water noisily slapping at your ankles. With a battle cry, you wound up an arm behind you in order to punch him. You almost second guessed your attack when Bakugo stood in place.

There was no fear or worry seen in his eyes. Hardly any emotion at all, really...but you charged on, throwing the punch straight at him.

Bakugo put a hand up, your fist hitting his palm with a smack. He effectively blocked your fist from colliding with his face. A knowing smirk slinked up on his mouth when he turned the tide on you by lowering his hand and grasping your wrist.

Your eyes widened when he spun you around so that your back was pressed against his front.

He had an arm tightly locked underneath your neck.

You squeezed your eyes shut while wrapping your hand around his arm, struggling to get loose. Lip quivering in confusion, you straightened up and patted yourself out when you realized you had actually managed to free yourself of his chokehold. You looked behind back at Bakugo, your eyes narrowing in his direction. You were frustrated that he had been able to immobilize you so easily, but you were even more peeved that he let you go without so much as a real struggle. You huffed, brushing it off and rushing him again with a flurry of punches.
