A/N: Even up to the end it's still unedited...

The corner of your lip remained upturned as your attention anchored away from the ground, e/c eyes slowly rising to come face to face with liquid ruby pools.

The look in those crimson orbs were already soft and full of tenderness because he hadn't stopped gazing at you ever since you took him by the hand.

You let a small frown slip for a brief second, becoming a little disheartened because they weren't the intense and captivating grey and turquoise eyes of the boy your heart had been desperately yearning and truly longing for.

But maybe this is for the best...so it won't hurt as much-

"Thank you...Katsuki." You whispered, small smile curving on your lip once more when you were both at the end of the runway.

Bakugo opened his mouth, wanting to say something in return but opting for just a warm smile instead since the two of you got distracted when the roar of the audience boomed, louder than it had ever been this entire night.

Todoroki found himself standing silently apart from the others, the sound of their chatters quietly dying out from around him. He watched you and Bakugo from behind but wrenched his eyes away to look down.

A hollow expression surfaced when he pressed his fingers to his lip because he could feel it trembling slightly. Though he had tried to stay strong and maintain the composure on his face, his body was betraying him and showing the fact that he felt hurt inside especially when he heard you call Bakugo's name instead of his.

Todoroki's hand slipped down from his face, curling into a tight fist. His head shot back up in confusion, hand back to his side when the crowd wildly burst out in cheers. His jaw clinched, forehead puckering when he saw it was because you and Bakugo were leading the final bow for the show.

"Ah, Todoroki-kun! That's our cue!"

The two toned boy felt a hard pat on his back, barely catching Midoriya scamper right past him and take his spot at the end of the runway next to Iida. Instead of following after the greenette, Todoroki's mouth downturned into a thin and narrowed line, upset with seeing you and Bakugo together hand in hand again. With a heavy heart and squinty eyes, Todoroki finally tore his gaze away from you two, shrinking back behind the curtain which kept anyone from noticing that he quietly snuck away and left the theater.

Todoroki didn't even know where he was going or where he had wandered off to but his head was swirling with too many thoughts, stopping in his tracks for a moment to try and calm himself down and regain his composure because this time, his whole body was shaking.

How could she...how could she pick him? He clutched a hand over his chest because he swore he could physically feel his heart aching, hating how his eyes were beginning to water.

He messed with one of the accessories on him, finally growing exasperated and uncomfortable with the outfit he still had on and just about ready to remove it. Since he was too lost in his own thoughts, he didn't notice the hooded figure, who was facing him at the end of the road at first. He dropped the accessory, letting it fall again and forgetting about how sad he was when the figure let out a dark chuckle.

"So, it's you, huh...Shoto Todoroki."

"Who are you?" Todoroki squinted, body tensing because obviously the person knew who he was, but he couldn't recognize the voice.

He could tell the person was a man though, around his height or maybe a bit taller than him with somewhat of a slim and lanky build. His facial features hardened though when he couldn't see the man's face.
