Tonight was the night of the school play that would be performed by West Ham High Students. Octavia King was not one for plays and so she wasn't excited for it. If she had her way she would rather be at home watching TV with her younger sister, however she was forced by the school to sign up to help out with Allie Pressman.

If it wasn't for Octavia not speaking to anyone she meets everything would be much less awkward. For the whole play her and Allie stood at the left stage exit watching the other students perform. She stood there with a clipboard and walkie talkie in her hands and a head set over her head. Every so often Allie would try make conversation with the girl by turning to her and saying "they're doing great, don't you think?" but the only reply she got was from the brunette girl nodding, not even bothering to make eye contact. She was glad when the whole thing was finally over.

All she wanted to do was go home as she had yet to pack for the camping trip that she was suppose to leave for the next day. The girl had left the school and ran to her car with a bandana over her nose to try and block the horrid smell that was drifting around West Ham once again. She went to grab her keys out of her bag but soon realised that she had left it in the school so without thinking she turned around and ran back towards the auditorium.

The sound of the door slamming caught the attention of students that were waiting to go to Harry's party. All eyes landed on the teenage girl. "Didn't think you'd be the one to come back to school," Harry Bingham had shouted to her, causing her to look over in his direction whilst rolling her eyes.

She didn't have the effort to reply to him and so she made her way backstage to grab her bag.
"Party at your house Harry, so nice of you to invite everyone," the older Pressman sister said sarcastically to the boy.

"Would you even come Cassandra," he said, eyes immediately wandering from her to the socially awkward classmate that was rushing towards the exit.

"But hey Octavia if you wanted to come you're welcome to do so," he said catching her attention and then winking at her, earning a slap on the arm from his girlfriend that was sitting next to him.

"I couldn't think of anything worse," she replied, rushing past Will and the Pressman sisters.

As soon as she got home she was bombarded with questions from her Father, who was in the kitchen eating dinner. Before she even had the chance to breathe he asked "how was the play? did you talk to anyone? did a lot of people go? wasn't there any party for after, if so why didn't you go?" The girl just rolled her green eyes at him.

"It was alright i guess, but unfortunately you made me go on this camping trip which means i have to go and pack," she said, rushing up the stairs before her father could lecture her on how her going on this trip would mean her reconnecting with old friends and maybe new friends.

On the way to her bedroom she walked to her sisters room and opened the door to see her sound asleep. It was a routine for Octavia to check on Amelia every night before she went to sleep herself, since their mom had left them she had not gone one day without checking on her younger sister. She dreaded going away tomorrow as it meant she couldn't check on her for a week. She walked over to her sister and kneeled beside her bed. She gently kissed her forehead and whispered "I love you," and then got up and made her way to her room.

She chucked a large bag onto her double bed and then grabbed clothes from her closet and placed them neatly inside of the bag. She didn't want to go on the trip but what she wanted more than anything was to be away from West Ham. She had hated the place ever since she started high school, one of her life goals was to finally be able to leave the place.

After showering she jumped into bed and stared up at her ceiling. Every night she though about when she was young, with friends and a happy family. She wondered how her world had been flipped upside down in such a little time. She fell asleep worried as tomorrow she was leaving her family to go on a trip with people she didn't even talk to. She didn't want to feel alone.

I hope you enjoyed this
chapter, there wasn't much
speech and that in this one
as most of this isn't actually
in the episode so :)

So for now i'm going to update
whenever I like so it will be
irregular, but as soon as I get
used to writing chapters that aren't
social media, i'll start updating
regularly.
