Cain was a healthy baby. Nothing was out of the ordinary as far as Adam and Eve could tell. They washed him in the nearby river and clothed him with animal fur. It was now a complete family.

"Take care of Cain. I'm going to work in the house. It's going to take a while so you might just have to sit tight and wait." Adam told Eve.

"Why don't you let me help you Adam?"

"Because I don't know how to take care of a baby, and that lady isn't around. I wish she could baby sit for us. Oh well."

Cain was a calm child. He didn't cry much after he was born. He slept like the little angel he was. For months, Adam worked on the house that soon will be occupied by the three, and sometimes Eve would help him out.

"I think the table should be in the middle," Eve told Adam as she fed Cain.

"Really? I was thinking more of..."

"Your design of the house is extremely ugly. If I'm to live here until I die, I prefer not having to cringe anytime I walk around."

Adam nodded his head in agreement. This went on until the house was fully built.

It was a beautiful home, made of the finest oak wood from the outside, and a marble interior. Adam was proud of what he had built. Yet God wasn't pleased.

"I am just baffled that Adam isn't thanking me right now!" God's anger could be felt by the angels in the room.

"B...but God, you didn't help Adam."

God looked at the angel, and he laughed. The other angels looked very nervous. The angel that made the comment realized what he had said, and he started laughing himself.

"Oh silly you,"

God pointed at the angel and made him evaporate with the snap of his fingers.

"Does anyone else have something to say? No? Remember he who challenges God will be punished! Pick your words wisely. Remember what happened to Satan, you don't want that to happen to you as well." God exclaimed.

God wrote down on his notepad that everyone has to thank him for everything. He will make sure that his book makes this clear.

Back on earth, Adam finally rested in his new king sized bed.

This mattress is so comfortable!

Eve gathered some animals for the farm. Cain was being stupid by showeing in mud. The three were happy. Four years passed, Cain was beginning to look like a strong little boy. God had decided it was time for him to come down and tell Adam and Eve something.

"Adam, Eve! It's me, God. I have some things to say."

Adam and Eve walked out of their homes, and Cain curiously followed.

"What an ugly child! He looks just like you Adam. But anyways I'm here to tell you that...wait a minute why are you so far Eve?" God asked.

"Well, I'm pregnant," Eve said with an angry look.

"Have you people ever heard of protection?" God said under his breath, to be heard by no one.

"Sorry God, we were just very excited to have another member in the family."

"Yeah, except you don't have to give birth to this thing, do you Adam?"

Adam nervously laughed.

God has been beaten once again. They did what he wanted, but without his permission.

I'll let this slide.

"C...congrats. I came down here because of that reason! I knew you were pregnant Eve so I come with gifts. Here, a baby crib" God tried to hide his frustration.
