Escalus' POV;

Lose her too? I can't bear that. I know she's old enough to handle herself but I don't want her getting hurt. She doesn't remember her past but I remember it all. It's up to me to keep her safe. I know that Kusuo is hiding something. I can see it in his eyes. I need to find out what it is before Juliet get hurt.

I headed to my room, which was made up to look exactly like it did before the move. I sat down on my bed, thinking on what I could do. I heard Juliet in her room next door, talking to Rosaline.

"Oh, Rosaline, sometimes I just can't stand him. I'm not a child anymore...I can make my own decisions."

I started to feel guilty. I don't want to hurt her but something just doesn't add up about this Kusuo guy. I'll be damned if he thinks he can hurt my little sister.

"No I know he's trying to be nice and helpful. It's such a blessing to have him back, but if he's going to try and ruin my relationship then i'd rather he be gone." I heard Juliet say. It felt like a knife in my chest. she wanted me gone. Am I truly that bad?

I changed into a pair of pajama pants and got into bed. I stared up at my ceiling for what seemed like hours before falling asleep.

"Escalus dear, time to get up." My mother called from outside my door. I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes. It was 7 in the morning.

"Thank you mom."

"I'll have breakfast ready in a few."

I rolled out of bed and headed to my dresser. I pulled on a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt.

"There...hm..." I headed out of my room and looked at Juliet's door. She was still asleep. I hope she wouldn't still be mad. I ran my fingers through my hair and headed downstairs. " Morning Mom."

" Morning sweetheart.....do you want to tell me why you and Juliet were arguing?"

I tensed up and looked at her.

"Um...well....it's about her boyfriend."

"Kusuo? What about him?"

"I don't trust him...I feel like he's hiding something..." I said, getting a cup of coffee.

" Well dear, we all have our skeletons...but I know for a fact  that he cares deeply for your sister and she cares deeply for him. I haven't seen her this happy in....a while..."

"..You trust him?" I asked. My mom spun around with a wooden spoon in her hand. She gave me a smile.

" I do. He's the sweetest young man I've ever met, sure he has an issue with lack of emotions, but the sparks between them..."

"Right. Right I get it."

"Here you go sweetheart." My mom handed me a plate with scrambled eggs and toast.

"Smells amazing. Thank you."

"Your sister should be up soon as well. "

I looked over to the stairs and sure enough, Juliet came walking down. She had on a pair of leggings and a light orange sweater.

" Good morning dear."

"Morning mom. " Juliet said, sitting across from me. She didn't say a word to me. I can't blame her. My mom gave her a plate of food as well.

"Any plans for today?"

"Oh nothing big. I'll probably go over Kusu's and practice my lines for the play."

" Mind if I tag along?" I asked. She looked up at me, somewhat annoyed.

"I don't know...can you behave?"
