It was five thirty and I decided to get ready for whatever Calum's idea of hanging out tonight.

I opened up my eight tracks and put on the pop and r&b playlist. Climax by Usher came on and I set my phone down in the speaker for it to play.

My closet was a mess after I searched for a cute but casual outfit. I grabbed my sweatshirt and jogged down the stairs.

"Mom, I'm gonna go hangout with Ashton and some friends!" I yelled.

"Okay, have fun honey. Please be careful and don't do anything you'll regret," she yelled back from upstairs.

I waited outside for Ashton's truck to come pick me up as I sat on the curb.

He texted me he was close and I didn't reply when his car came to a stop right on the curb I was sitting on.

I yanked open the door and climbed in. He gave me a smile which I returned.

"Ready?" he asked. I nodded my head and leaned my head back.

"So, where are we going?" I wondered. He puffed out his lips making him look like a fish and made me giggle.

"This carnival, at some park nearby," he stated.

My eyes lit up when he said carnival, then Ashton placed his hand on my thigh.

"I love carnivals! I haven't been to one since I was nine," I said.

"Me too. Cotton candy is my favorite when it comes to carnivals," he added.

My mouth watered when I thought of carnival food. "Really? I'm not really a fan of cotton candy, but I love funnel cakes, oh my god. I can go on and on about this, but we can talk about something else," I carried on. He chuckled and took his hand off my thigh. I frowned when he did that, but he placed it back down right away after making a sharp turn.

"Well, I guess were here!" he chirped.

We drew ourselves closer together as we reached the ticket booth. Ashton paid for our tickets and handed me a wristband.

"Thanks," I muttered. After he put in his wristband and helping me put on mine he took my hand in his and we made our way through the crowd, searching for the other three guys.

"Over there," Ashton said and guided us to where Michael was waving at us. Sarah was standing next to Calum and my face lit up when I saw her. Thank god I'm not the only girl!

"Hey, Jenna, Ash!" she smiled.

"Hi! Okay, just a warning. I haven't been to a carnival in forever, so I'm really excited right now," I beamed while my attention was caught onto the big ride twisting up and over.

They all laughed and everyone decided to divert into separate ways and meet up back at the front later.

"Well, I guess we're on a date, huh?" Ashton said. I blushed and let the smile form on my lips.

"I guess we are," I giggled.
