With Strange back to care for you everything turned into a foggy rush. Your mind turned itself off again and you trusted Strange to take care of you. And your life. And everything that came with it.

He didn't disappoint you. He was gentle and loving and nice.

With him came the warmth of a hot water bottle on your stomach. A cup of tea. A reassuring hand on your shoulder.

"This, doctor Banner, is (y/n). There is a lot to her but you will only get what you need and that's the medical facts" , stated Strange. His voice was so reassuring and soothing and he wasn't even trying.

"She went into cardiac arrest twice today. They performed CPR on her and broke some of her rips, I don't know how many and which but I know that they did" , he started but Banner must have made a face or something for Strange stopped.

"She went into cardiac arrest twice today and she is not in a hospital?! Are you kidding me? You were a doctor once! She belongs in a hospital!" , Banner exclaimed. He sounded shocked, scared, disappointed.

"She doesn't want to be in a hospital" , stated Strange. You were grateful. You wanted to sleep. Soon. Now.

Banner inhaled sharply.

"She didn't want to?! Stephen, she was literally dead twice today! She has to be monitored closely! Who knows what's wrong with her?" , stated Banner. He was overreacting. His voice was annoying. You wanted him to leave. Leave and never return.

And you wanted to sleep. Sleep and never wake up.

"Bruce, she climbed out of her hospital window. They had her on the ICU and she managed to escape. There's no way that they could make her stay. We can monitor her too! You are a doctor too!" , said Strange. At this point it got too much talking. You wanted them to stop and help you sleep. You were so tired.

"Damn it, Strange! You are the sorcerer supreme! You know ways to contain her. You know as well as me that she would be better off in a hospital! God, Stephen, do you know how much you're asking of me? You're placing this girl's life in my hands and I don't know if I want that" , said someone. You weren't sure who was who anymore. Your head was spinning.

Sleep. You wanted to sleep.

"Look, Banner, I felt the same way about this as you but there's something about her you do not know and which I didn't want to tell you but there seemes to be no way around it. She is not like you or me. She is not as human as she could be. She said, that she felt alright!" , said someone else.

You couldn't stand this much longer.

"She said that she felt alright! I can say that I am a butterfly, it doesn't make it true! You said yourself that she didn't want to be in a hospital, of course she would..." , raged someone.

You had to do something.

"I'm tired. I'm in pain. Please, make me sleep. Please, take the pain away."

It wasn't much more than a croak. A silent, broken beg escaping your shaking lips. But it made the men shut up. For a while.

"Please, Banner, she needs you" , whispered someone else. Rather quiet. Strange? Strange. He would help you. He would make the other man help you. His voice promised that.

A sigh. It was like the sound of the guillotine cutting off a head. A final thing. Something was over. Something was lost. Something was won.

"Alright, I see that."

And then, finally, help.

The cold hands of a stranger examined you very carefully. Not Strange's hands. There was a constant shake in Strange's hand. This was missing from the ones touching you.
