Ten minutes later you were wrapped up in towels and blankets, clasping a cup of tea in one hand and pressing a hot water bottle to your belly with the help of your elbows. As a result of that you were completely unable to move and therefore unable to escape Strange's telling-off as he paced up and the down the room, yelling angrily.

"... cold! You could have drowned! What if the rain had turned into a thunderstorm and lightning had hit the water? You could have died! And you are very likely to end up sick! Going for a swim in the freaking fish pond while it's cold and raining! One could come to the conclusion that you don't even want to live..." , and the he stopped, frozen in place. You hastily took a gulp of the tea that was still far too hot to drink without severly burning your mouth, throat and anything else it came in direct contact with. It was agonizing and not enjoyable but, hastily waving your free hand in front of your open mouth gave you something to do and an excuse not to answer. Plus the fact that your eyes were watering, making Strange appear rather blurred.

The blurred Strange spun around, staring at you, his gaze boring into you, trying to see beyond the blanket coverering me, deeper into my heart and soul. He was about to say something, his mouth was in the process of opening, when someone stepped into the room.

"Who are you yelling at?" , asked the hoarse voice of someone who must have just left the bed or was suffering from a cold. You peered past Strange and discovered Stark whom's hair was ruffled and his face covered with imprints of pillow folds. All in all he looked like someone who had just been woken from a nice nap by someone yelling at someone else. And he was your very welcome saviour. Strange was too worried about Stark to yell at anyone while he was in the room. Checkpot.

"Tony! I'm sorry, I didn't know you were asleep... I didn't want to wake you! It's nothing, darling, I can handle it, go back to bed" , Strange said hastily, smiling an innocent smile at his husband. You gave Stark a conspiratorial grin as he peered at you, curousity well visible in his face.

"Oh, it's alright, Stephen, I wanted to get up anyway. I'm as well rested as I could be" , reassured Stark, contradicting his words with a massive yawn, "Now tell me why you are yelling at our guest and why said guest is wrapped up like a burrito."

Strange hesitated, glanced at me and then looked back at Stark.

Would he tell Stark? And how would he react? Because, as absurd as taking a swim in a fish lake during a downpour might appear, it sounded like something Stark would do too.

"It's raining" , began Strange, obviously not willing to let his husband in on what had happened. Said husband didn't seemed too pleased with not being told what was going on for his brows furrowed. But he still turned his head, looked out of the window, nodded and looked back at Strange.

"I see. Rain. Great. Now, why would that be the answer as to why burrito girl over there is being yelled at?" , inquired Stark, nodding in my direction. Strange sighed, hesitated for another few heartbeats.

Then he angrily burst out: "She took a swim in the fish pond, Tony!" A reproachful look was thrown in your direction. You felt like rolling your eyes but also like being sassy right now wasn't the best idea.

Stark kept quiet for a moment, looking first at you, afterwards at Strange. Then he raised an eyebrow and started to laugh. It was a hearty, honest laugh and you couldn't not join in.

After a few minutes of laughing, your stomach was aching and tears were spilling down your cheeks, Stark stopped his giggling and made an effort to make a straight face. Strange hadn't laughed at all and looked rather furious now.

"Look, Stephen, I know that you are all for order and good behaviour but look at her! She is unharmed! She's been through a lot worse than splashing around in a pond with a few fish" , stated Stark, winking at you. You grinned back.
