"I see, you are up and walking again" , Strange greeted you. You took a step back, there was a threatening force in his voice and you didn't want to get too close to him. You had thought that this battle was over and won but you had been wrong, apparently.
If you were totally honest you wished Stark to be back, even if you had to tell him your damn story. Not because you wanted to tell it but because it wouldn't be a fight.
"Yes, congratulations, your eyes are working perfectly fine" , you replied, cautiously. You had to be careful, to choose the right words. You were facing two opponents now. While talking you eyed the black haired man you didn't know. Who was he? What was he doing here?
Strange snorted and nodded at the stranger.
"This is doctor Bruce Banner, you met him yesterday when I brought you here. He took care of you and he told me that it was stupid to bring you here. I didn't agree yesterday but now I do. You shouldn't be here but in a hospital. The people there could take better care of you than us" , began Strange. You hissed.
This was all so damn frustrating. You had told him over and over again that you were fine. You had come back to life without any assistance and you were perfectly fine apart from some broken rips which were totally out of your influence. What else was there to say or to do?!
Banner nodded at you. His whole expression showed that he, too, wanted you gone.
"I will not return to this hospital or any other health care facility!" , you snapped. God, was this man really naive enough to believe that you would go back to any hospital if he just asked politely and used up all his persuasive power. He couldn't be more wrong.
Strange sighed and got to his feet. Was he going to physically force you into going back? You took a step back and hissed. Force wouldn't do any good. He should better stay away from you. A hungry opponent is a dangerous opponent.
"Look, I made an impulsive decision yesterday and I regret it with all my heart. I should have brought you back into medical care immidiately but instead I brought you here. This is not a place for you to be, you are not safe here" , he said and the way he did it made your rage boil even hotter. He was talking to you like you were a child that didn't understand and had to be taught.
"God damn it, Strange, you are not the one to decide what I have to do or not. I will never return to any hospital because I don't need it and because they can not help me!" , you cried. You felt like sobbing now, like a helpless child, throwing the truth at someone just to be smiled upon. A truth only you could know. But crying tends to make people seem less trustworthy and, in an argument, weak. And it would probably make the pain in your chest worse which was already bad enough as it was.
"Excuse me" , intervened this Banner guy. You weren't sure if you wanted him to talk. Really not.
"Listen, girl. Strange and I are both doctors and if we advice someone to go to a hospital it tends to be the right thing to do. It could really safe your life, you know" , he said. There was no autority in his voice. He was a timid guy, one that wasn't keen on using force against anyone. At least he appeared like it.
"Listen, doctor, I guarantee you that you've never been in contact with anyone like me and let's be honest, you only want me gone because you don't want to be held responsible for my death. So know this: I am far from dying. Very far from it, in fact. Did Strange tell you why I am here? The whole story? And another question: Where did Stark go? He asked for something and I am sure that he still wants to have it" , you replied angrily. Banner frowned.
"What should Strange have told me?" , he inquired but Strange was speaking too now: "I sent him to fetch you some food."
Uhm... Food sounded nice. So Strange did still care about you somehow?
