My daughter popped in my room while I was taking an aspirin. She quietly watched me until I asked "What's up princess?" she smiled at me and responded with "We should go to the cafe!" I thought about it for a moment and said "That's a good idea, go get dressed and we can walk over there." She nodded her head excitedly. Ten minutes later we were walking down the street, almost at the cafe already. Once we got there we went up to order, me a caramel macchiato and her a blackberry tea with milk. We got our drinks and a couple of scones and went to sit down. I felt a pair of eyes on me, so when we sat down I looked up and saw someone looking at me. Two things ran through my head. First: Can I talk to them in front of my daughter cause damn they're cute, and second: why are they staring at me. I nodded them over and they smiled before walking over. I couldn't tell what they identified as but as far as I could tell they were female. We left soon after I got their number, but I still didn't know their gender. They seem nice and for now we were just friends, so it doesn't matter. No matter what though, my daughter comes first, so anything that happens after this has to be for my daughter.
(Shorter chapter Cause there isn't much I can do at the moment but I needed a POV from Gary)
