When Amy saw me, she stood up. "Hey, hey! You look so pretty!" I said, as she hugged me. She wore a striped blouse in black and white, some light brown trousers with a belt and white sneakers.
"How are you? Wow, you look so cute!" Her eyes wandered over me.
When I turned to Tyler, he stretched his fist towards me and I laughed while I gave him a fist bump. Max sat next to Gordon, so the only last free space was next to Noel. Now that we were talking and seemingly Friends again, I had no problem to sit next to him. Amy leaned against Tyler and she looked at me, smiling. I took a short look through the round and got stuck on Max smirk.
"Should I go and get us some drinks?" She asked, I shook my head. "Not for me." I heard Noel next to me.
"Okay, I'll be back in a second. Any special wishes?" The other three shook their heads. "Fine. I'll be back in a minute." She said and left the living room. I started realizing that Gordon was smoking something. No, not something. The thing in his hand was a joint.
"Do you smoke weed?" I asked, shocked.
Gordon laughed, "Yeah. Is there any problem with that?" He asked back. "No." I said slowly and stretched the o. Gordon nodded and handed the joint to Max who put down the four cups on the table. I must have looked really shocked, because she laughed when she saw my face. I didn't know what to say, so I just shook my head, unbelieving what I just saw. Noel laughed at my reaction and I gave him a warning look, which he replied with a smirk.
Next to me I heard an annoyed groan. "Our little doll just showed up."
I looked over to Max, but she just rolled her eyes while she realized who Gordon was talking about.
"Hello, hello my loved ones!"
I'll never like that ugly squeaky voice of hers. When Jade stood in front of us, I gave her a devastating look. She wore a black lace Body and ripped hot pants with knee high velvet boots.
"Oh, Cara. Don't think you're something special, just because you are sitting next to Noel." She said snappishly. Annoyed, I looked away from her. I saw Noel's mean smirk in the corner of the eye and right in that moment he put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me towards him. I was confused and looked up, right into Jades eyes. And there was it, my confidence got boosted. Her eyes widened and I was ready to play that game all night long.
"Jade, nobody wants you here." Max said dryly and drank a sip from her cup. Jade snorted derogatorily and gave Gordon an expectant look. He just rolled his eyes and Jade must had thought he wanted to tell her 'Come, sit down, we are so happy to see you.' because she smiled and sat down on the sofa armrest next to him.
"Well." Tyler said, "Where have we been?" Looking for help, he looked over to Max. "That we all need a refill!" She said quickly.
In the corner of my eye I saw that Jade was watching me for a while.
"Yeah, listen Max. Stay here, I'll be back in a second." She said, sneakily and left us. I took a deep breath of Jade-Free-Air and suddenly felt how Noel was leaning over to me, "Just play along." He whispered in my ear. I turned my head to face him and he nodded to me. "What's your plan?" I asked, curiously. "Just wait for it." He said and smirked. I nodded.
"Fine. I'll wait." I said, tensely.
Jade came back with a tray on which were many colorful shot glasses.
"Ew. No!" Amy said, disgusted as she put the tray on the table in front of us. Gordon laughed and grabbed one. "Cheers!" He put on the small cup, from which only a jelly consistency slipped out.
