"Dude, I gotta go now." I said to Matt and put my helmet on.
"Yo, get her back man." I lifted my chin as an I will, don't worry 'bout it and started the engine of my Yamaha.
I always hated fighting with this girl, I liked her since we were like six and never told her. Stupid little me, I should have kicked my ass to get her in Middle School, but even then I was too stupid to open my mouth and here I was now, messing everything up, because I lied to her about that.
Before I drove home I had to get to Gordon. Last time I tried to make him clear why I won't get back into business, my Baby had to interrupt. And I didn't want her to find out about all of this for God's sake.
She would have hated me, if she'd find out that I could have ended like her father. She'd have killed me.
In front of his ugly apartment I hammered against his door, asking myself why I'm even doing this.
"Yo! Open the fucking door, I know you're home!" I yelled and hammered even louder against the wood.
I heard the squeak his door always made when he turned the knob to unlock the door and dropped my hand.
"Chill man, I had a call with Cobra. Good to see you. Came back to get to Cobra, to get back into business? Matt's in, too, now."
I raised an eyebrow. I didn't really care if Matt deals, I for sure won't again.
"If I wanted to speak to Cobra, I would know where he is and I don't give a fuck what Matt is doing, but that's exactly why I'm here. Tell Cobra from me that he owes me nearly two thousand. It's the money he still hasn't paid me for the deals I made before I stepped out."
He stuck his head out the door and grabbed my arms before he pulled me inside avoiding anybody overhearing our drug dealing conversation.
"So, you're telling me that you won't come back and that I'm supposed to tell Cobra that? I mean, why me? Are you a fucking Pussy or what?"
I laughed dryly, looking down at him, his leather jacket didn't let him look tougher.
"You are closer to him, you know exactly why I tell you and not him, so grab your bean balls and tell him that I want my money this week Saturday. And if I don't get it Saturday night, you guys are screwed. Deal or no deal?" He swallowed and lifted a finger, pulling out his phone and calling Cobra.
"Great job, Weasel." I tapped his shoulder and walked towards the door.
"If we go down, you go down too," he tried to threaten me before I left.
Laughing I answered, "You know exactly that nobody would be stupid enough to snitch on me. No one's balls are big enough for that."
Satisfied, I left his apartment and drove home.
Upstairs in my room I checked if Cara was in her's, but she wasn't. I had to talk to her, even if that meant another lie.
You stupid Fucker, just tell her the truth.
I couldn't, she wouldn't ever speak to me again.
Downstairs I checked our living room for Judey or Cara, but neither were over, so I tried the garden and Greenhouse.
Finally I walked up the terrace. The door stood open and I saw Judey sitting on the couch, her Tarot Cards spread over the coffee table in front of her.
Hesitating, I knocked against the glass and waited to get her attention.
She raised her eyes and smiled one of her warm, welcoming smiles.
