Upstairs I brushed my hair and went into Chloe's room who lined up a dozen hair bands and hair clips in front of her mirror.

"Okay, what's the plan?" I sat down next to her and she looked at me, analyzing. "You'll get normal braids by now, don't you?" She asked me and I nodded. "Yeah, as long as I don't have to separate anything." I laughed and she nodded.

"Okay, let's do..." She looked at herself in the mirror and narrowed her eyes. "Maybe easy dutch braids?"

She looked at me, after she got no reaction and I threw my hands in the air and shrugged.

"If you say that, let's do it." I said and she nodded again.

"Okay, you start like this and then you take a new strand of hair." She explained and I tried what she showed me.

In the end my braids didn't looked anything like hers and I started laughing.

Chloe tried to hold back her laughter, but she didn't succeed. "We still have to work on that," I nodded, approvingly. "Yeah, I think so."

"Looks like my girls are having fun." A male voice appeared from the door.

"Morning, Daddy." Chloe said and jumped up to hug him. I got up too and walked past him. "Morning." I replied and smiled.

"Give her time," I heard Linda behind me and I disappeared into the bathroom to take a shower.

I put on a lilac colored shirt and jeans. I tied my hair in a bun, got my things together and already brought my bag into my cars trunk.

I still had time left until I had planned to leave, so I sat down in the kitchen with Chloe and Linda. Both of them made decorations for the wedding.

"Can I help you guys?" I asked and Linda raised her eyes from one of the butterflies she cut out of pastel pink paper.

"Sure." Chloe shoved a stack of paper at me and Linda glue and scissors.

"Okay, you just cut out smaller and bigger hearts and glue them together. Like this." Linda explained me and held up one of her 3D pastel hearts she already finished and I nodded.

"What are they for?" I asked while I cut out the first heart. "They'll be spread all over the tables," Linda smiled.

"It will be the only thing what we made ourselves." Chloe said pouting and Linda laughed. "Because it's supposed to be elegant and not to rustic or boho," she replied.

My hands hurt after a few hearts, so I decided to glue them together. Chloe already had a bunch of hearts lying in front of her so Linda had put some in a basket in between.

When I took a look at the clock it was almost one o'clock at noon.

"Alright guys. I'll leave now." I got up from the kitchen table and Chloe smiled. "Okay." She said and I smiled. "I like you," I grinned and she looked at me smirking.

"See you at the wedding Cara. It was nice to meet you." Linda got up and hugged me. "You'll come to our wedding?" I heard Dad's voice and turned around. "Yeah. I will." I answered and he started smiling.

"Okay, great. Then, we'll see each other in a few months." He said, hesitating and hugged me. Before I left, I threw a look into the living room. "Bye, Luke." I said, quietly and waved.

"Bye, Cara. See you," he answered and frowned. "Wait, did you call me Luke?" He asked surprised and I smirked. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't." I said, cheekily and waved again.

Before I headed home, I turned around and laughed softly. Linda, Chloe and Dad stood at the front door and waved. Luke watched me from the window. I waved back, got in my car and started the engine.
