It was a small wrapped box. Taking it from his hand, I studied it for a moment and looked up to meet his eyes. He raised an eyebrow and I smiled at him, before I opened it.
Noel chuckled when my face gave away my annoyance to the rainbow tissue paper. I lightly shook my head in amusement and lifted the paper, revealing the green and light blue bracelets I thought about buying at the Aquarium.
I slowly looked up at him. "You bought them?" I quietly asked and he rolled his eyes and grinned, "No, I stole em." I glared at him and took a closer look at the bracelets.
"Thank you." I finally said and leaned in to kiss him. His hands grabbed my face and he pulled me even closer.
"I saw how you hesitated, if you should buy them or leave it." He said after he pulled away again. I nodded, "I thought about going back in and buy them, but luckily I didn't." I smiled at him and he winked.
He got up and went into the kitchen, making me a tea and himself a cup of coffee. I slipped the two bracelets over my wrist and pulled them tighter, so they wouldn't slip off and put the box onto the coffee table.
Noel nodded his head into the direction of the terrace. When we sat outside, dark clouds covered the sky above us and it started to rain. I leaned against his shoulder and sipped my green tea, listening to the rain drops colliding with the wood of the terrace stairs.
My mind trailed off to my dad's wedding. He still hasn't sent me the invitation and I slowly started to overthink everything again. Did he forget about me? No, he wouldn't, I bet Linda urged him to sent me the first.
I bit my lower lip in thoughts and suddenly felt fingers cupping my face, bringing me back to reality. "How often do I have to tell you, to stop biting your lip?" Noel asked me when I met his eyes. I sighed, "My whole life. Because this is what I do when I day dream, or think, or-" he cut me off with a kiss and smiled against my lips when he leaned his forehead against mine.
"Look at those cuties, Greg!" I heard Sue's voice from the door behind me and I felt my cheeks heat up.
Turning around, I smiled at her. "Hey Sue." Noel looked around me, smiling at his step mother. "You look happy." I stated and she nodded, waving her hand for Greg to join us outside.
"Well, we want to tell you something." Greg said, wrapping his arm around Sue's waist. I looked into Sue's eyes and there was this motherly gleam in her eyes, when she brushed her hand over her stomach, it clicked. Oh no, Noel will freak out! "I'm pregnant." She blurted out happily. I knew it!
"You're what?" Noel almost yelled, anger in his voice. "Since when?" Sue's smile faded at Noel's tone and Greg took a protecting step closer when Noel got up.
"She's four weeks pregnant." He told his son and I tried to grab his hand gently, but he brushed it off, signalling me to leave him alone, before he stormed inside the house.
"I'm so happy for you two." I got up and hugged both of them. "Thank you, bean." Greg smiled down at me and I pointed my finger inside, telling them that I'll try to talk some sense into Noel. "I hope it's a girl." I grinned and both chuckled.
"He'll accept it." I heard Greg comforting his pregnant wife. "He has to." She sadly replied and I immediately felt bad for her.
Walking upstairs, I heard him slam something against the wall and I flinched. I carefully approached his door, peaking around the corner and froze. Noel ripped the door of his closet off and it now laid on the floor in pieces.
He pulled his hair and sat down at the edge of his bed, running his hands down his face. "Noel?" I whispered quietly, not moving an inch. He looked up, leaning forward, his elbows on his knees. His eyes met mine and he then scanned his room around him. Taking in the mess he made he let his shoulders slumped forward.
