"Jia." Jinyoung calls out to me.

"O Jinyoung oppa, you're here."

"Were you waiting long?"

"No I wasn't. You got here soon after me." I say giving him a warm smile.

"Look Jinyoung, I think we should talk."

"Me too...I think we should tell Yugyeom about us before he finds out from someone else."

"Oh um...about that..." I take his hands into mine.

"...I want you to know that I love you okay. I can't describe how much I love you. You've always taken care of me and treated me in a way that I don't deserve. But-."

He looks down at our hands then looks up at me.

"-you love me...but you don't like me."

"Jinyoung, I'm so sorry. I just don't think I should keep fooling myself. I do love you, more than you know but only as a brother. And I just don't want to hurt you anymore than I already have. I gave us a chance in hope of seeing you differently. But I just can't." I look down, ashamed of myself.

"I understand Jia." He says while gently lifting my head up and giving me a reassuring smile.

"I shouldn't have acted the way I did around you. You are the first girl I've ever loved, I think I let that get to me."

"No, please don't apologise. You can't help the way you feel. But I really don't want to lose you as a friend, that's the last thing I would ever want."

"Don't worry. Even if you don't love me, I'll never leave you. I'll always be there for you as an older brother. You're stuck with me haha."

Behind his smile, I could see the sadness in his eyes.

"Jinyoung, I am honestly really sorry."

"Stop saying you're sorry! I'll get over you eventually hehe. But just know that I'm thankful to you for giving us a chance. You're a good person Jia, don't think that because you don't feel the same way as I do, that you aren't. Okay?"

"Thank you Jinyoung." I say giving him a tight hug.

"Oh and you deserve to be with Yugyeom...I can't believe I just said that."

"What?"

"Even though Yugyeom made a huge mistake, he's a good guy. I know you know that and I know you still love him. He's never stopped loving you, not even for a second. Trust me. Just give him another chance."

While he says that to me, I realise that ever since the break up, all I focused on was what Yugyeom did. I was too busy focusing on what he did wrong to remember all the things that he did right.

Maybe he does deserve a second chance...

"You're right. I don't have anything to lose anyway."

"I know I'm right haha."

"You sound like Yuna."

"Smart people think alike."

"Are you calling me dumb?"

"I'm not saying anything...hahaha."

After joking around for a while, we decide to go our separate ways.

"Thank you Jinyoung oppa for understanding. You're the best."

"No worries. JB hyung will be happy to hear about this. He's been telling me to move on for years. But can I ask for one last favour?"
