It took about 5 hours to drive from sunny San Diego, to snowy, cold Minnesota. My parents thought a fresh new start would be best for all of us.

We drove about 10 minutes, tops, until we finally got to our new house and let me tell you, it was absolutely gorgeous.

We all got out of the car and shut the doors.

"Wow."

It was a 2 story house with small trees and brushes surrounding it. It was a light baby blue house with a brown-ish door.

'Eh, we can fix that.' I thought talking about the door color

The path way to the house had tiny and big bushes in all different shapes and sizes going up to the door. This house was beautiful.

"So, do you like it?" My mom asked, nervously.

"Like it? I love it!" I told her before running up to the house and opening the door. Inside was even more precious then the outside.

"Wow." Was all I could make out.

There was a huge staircase going up to the second floor. A huge purple, but beautiful, chandelier was hanging above me.

I walked up the stairs and opened ever door trying to find the perfect room.

I opened the first door only to be met by a bathroom. Good to know that's there. Moving on.

I opened the second bedroom. Hmm.. too small.

Second door. Too big.

Third door. No window.

Fourth and final door. Perfect! It was medium sized with a large window on the right wall. The moving people must have already been here because most of my stuff was already here.

I plotted down on king sized bed and let out a big sign.

"Wow." I thought this move would be a bad idea, but I was so wrong.

"Honey?" My mom called out. "Are you up for school tomorrow or do you wanna just unpack?"

"Unpack!" I yelled back at her.

"Okay!" She answered.

I walked back out of the house to go get my boxes from the car. I looked over at the house next to me to see there was a girl with blue hair fighting with her boyfriend.

"Sam, let go! I hate you! I never wanna see you again, you prick!" She yelled trying to get out of his grip.

"Baby, you need me." He told her trying to kiss her.

I rolled my eyes at that cheesy pick up line.

"You obviously weren't thinking about how much you "needed me" when you were fucking Lexi!" She screamed in his face.

"Come on, babe. I was drunk. We can work this out." He says calmly still trying to kiss her.

"Get off! You're hurting me!" She yelled.

Alright that's it.

"Hey!" I yelled walking over to them making them both look up. "She said let her go."

The prick just laughed, "And what are you gonna do about it, pretty boy?"

I looked at him for a moment before punching him.

"Ah, Fuck! You fucking cunt! You knocked my lip ring out!" He yelled before touching his bleeding lip.

"This isn't over." He told us both with a death glare before getting in his car and driving away.

I just rolled my eyes, "Are you okay?"

The blue headed girl turned and looked at me.

"Yeah, I think I'm fine, but you should be worried. When he says it isn't over, it's not."

"Eh, I'm not really worried about him. My names Ervin and I guess I'm your new neighbor." I told her with a smile.

"I'm Jade," She said returning it. "I have a feeling you're gonna enjoy this town."

"Thanks?" I said with a chuckle.

She nodded, "So where'd you come from?"

"San Diego." I replied.

"And you moved here?! Are you crazy? I'd kill to live in San Diego!" She exclaimed.

"Wasn't my choice. If I did have a choice, I would've stay." I muttered kicking the rocks around.

"Well, you're here now. So, you need any help unpacking?" She asked, changing the subject.

I nodded and motioned for her to follow me to the car. Once we got there, I started to hand her the light boxes while I took the more challenging boxes.

We headed towards the house and I opened the door to see my mom coming down the stair. She spotted us at the door and came down to help.

"Oh who's this, honey?" She said while smiling and taking a box off of a box I was holding.

"My new friend Jade, Jade this is my mom." I told her.

"Nice to meet you!" Jade told her with a smile.

"You too, honey." She replied. "Well I'll let you do whatever teenagers do these days." She told yes taking all of the boxes from both of us.

"Hey wanna meet my sister?" Jade asked me.

"Sure." I replied.

She lead the way out of my house and down the pathway and onto the sidewalk to her house.

I think I'm gonna enjoy this town.
