YOUR POV
You are a good person. You swear you are. You would never do anything to hurt anyone but you couldn't put your finger on why you had agreed to this. Of course, now, you didn't regret it. It had turned out better than you thought and you loved that. You loved how he made you feel. You loved his smile, his laugh, his nervousness, just everything about him.
However, the guilt would come over you every time you see him, remembering that he was just a bet. A bet you fell for, hard and unexpectedly. It all went down two months ago at some stupid party that your friend was throwing. She didn't invite Peter but she did invite Flash who thought it would be a funny joke to invite Peter and some other 'nerds' from the school.
It was all going pretty well until a group of guys wanted to play a game of bets, kind of like truth or dare. They would give you a bet to do say like "I bet you can't hold your breath for a minute" and if you were able to do so you would get $10 and if you failed the person who gave the bet got $10 instead. It was your turn and you were ready for whatever was coming. You never took down a dare, bet, or any challenge of any sort. That was kind of your thing.
"I bet you can't get one of the nerds to ask you out." One of the guys tells you. You arch your eyebrow at him.
"What kind of bet is that?"
"It's a bet, are you too chicken? Maybe you should just give me my $10 and call it a night." He mocks you as he pulls his hand out, ready to receive the money.
"No way, I'm not losing $10 to you." You say then get up to go and search for where the "nerds" we hanging out. They weren't far from the group, just relaxing in the kitchen talking to each other.
"Now, who should I pick..." You trailed off and glance between them.
"You should go for Peter, I heard he already has a crush on you." A girl who was sitting on your right stated. Peter has a crush on me? Aw, how adorable. You thought to yourself, not thinking much of it at the moment.
"Peter it is." You say then make your way to an island in the kitchen where Peter was standing.
"Hey, Pete." You state, trying to come off a bit flirty.
"Uh, hi (Y/N). I didn't think you knew my name." He was nervous and you found it adorable that he was struggling to keep his eyes on you.
"Of course I know your name. You sit behind me in Chemistry right?" You say casually trying to make conversation.
"Yeah, I do." He says then finally turns to face you.
"So, do you have any plans this weekend?"
"Not really. I was going to hang out with Ned. You know Ned right."
"Yeah, he's in my History class. I was thinking, maybe you would like to hang out with me instead." You say casually.
"You want to hang out with me?" He questions.
"Yeah? What's wrong with that?"
"Nothing, it's just... Girls like you aren't seen with guys like me."
"'Guys like you?'"
"Yeah, nerds. You're a popular girl and I'm a nerd, we never usually hang out."
"That's only in the movies Peter. In real life, we can do whatever we like." You say optimistically.
"Okay, in that case, I would like to hang out with you this weekend, maybe Saturday?"
"Great, let's call it a date. Give me your phone so I can give you my number." He reaches into his pocket before handing you his phone. You typed your number in before handing it back to him. "Cool, just text me the time and place."
