"It's just so weird

"It's just so weird..." I said to Kenzie, who was putting her purse on the back of her chair. "I never thought that I would be doing long distance." I said with a frown.

"I'm worried that eventually he'll get sick of not being able to see me and find someone else." I said, my voice cracking at the end.

Kenzie sighed and held her hand out for me to grab over the table. "You're crazy. You two absolutely adore each other, and anyone who has eyes can see that." She said with a reassuring smile.

"Thanks, Kenz." I said with a smile before glancing over the menu. We ordered our food before continuing our conversation.

"I just want to see him again, and I literally saw him last week." I said, emphasizing the last part. "Ahhh, love." Kenzie said with a smile, making me giggle.

"I kinda want to see one of his shows but he's not playing in America anymore." I said with a frown. "So why don't you go to one of his other shows?" She asked.

I shook my head. "That's crazy..." I said. "Is it?" She asked. "Why am I considering this?" I asked, looking at my brunette friend. "I'm not going alone." I said with a frown.

"I'll go with you! I mean I loved the concert that we went to." Kenzie said, clapping her hands together in excitement.

"I'll surprise him!" I yelled, interrupting the other diners' quiet dinners. Kenzie and I immediately broke out into a fit of laughter.

After dinner, we both went back to my house. "Oh my god I'm going to be broke." I said, rubbing my temples. I'm not going to say how much it is for two people to go to Sydney, but it's not exactly cheap.

"It'll be worth it." I kept telling myself, trying to make myself feel better about the expensive fare. Kenzie came over to my desk, looking at my laptop.

"Oh wow." Kenzie gasped. "I figured it would be expensive, but this is crazy." She said, scrolling through all the flight options.

"Should I talk to his manager about this trip?" I asked, looking up at Kenzie, who was still looking at the tickets.

I contacted Ruel's manager, and he immediately replied, happy to help with my surprise. After, I took out my wallet, purchased the tickets, and watched my bank account cry.
