Chapter 16

Ashanti's P.O.V.

There was yells after yells. Footsteps running down the stairs. Michael nowhere near me.

I heard Ashton interrupt the yelling, as I entered the hallway. "What the hell happened?!" He said.

"Ashton, please don't say that." Luke added, I giggled. Calum heard my giggle, he turned his head to see me standing on the 3rd to last step. He went back to the main scene. I quietly finished descending the stairs.

Calum was screaming at Michael. Michael, however, looked as if he didn't care, he was just a little shocked. I didn't know what Calum was yelling about. Tori and Rylie were slightly heard, it sounded like they were in the kitchen. Megan sat silently at the dinning room table.

I walked over to the table, and pulled out a chair. Megan looked up in the middle of tracing a heart on the table. She smiled a small smile and countinued her heart.

"What's going on? It's only 7:40 ish." I whisper to Megan.

"I don't think you want to know. Have Michael or Tori tell you." She said back, focusing on the table and her imaginary heart.

Tori and Rylie walked out of the kitchen. Tori saw me and quickly turned towards the stairs and ran up them. She wasn't worth a chasing, at 7:45 AM. Rylie turned to me with a look that told me something I wouldn't like happened.

The yelling continued until 8:15 AM. It would of continued more but Ashton stepped in and told them to stop. It was now almost 8:30, everyone was upstairs except Michael and me. I was still at the table, just looking towards him. He, however, sat on the couch with his head in his hands. He just sat there in misery.

I decided I should try to figure out what happened. I slowly got up, I tried to do so quietly but the chair was noisy. Michael looked up and then back down towards the floor. I took my seat next to him on the couch, the leather squeaked when I sat down. He looked up again, we locked eyes for a second or two.

"What just happened?" I tried starting a conversation of his explanation.

"Nothing..." He trailed off, while still focusing on the floor.

"Don't lie to me! I saw what just happened! They wouldn't cause chaos for nothing!" I started to get mad.

"If you knew the answer, why the hell did you ask?!" I knew this wasn't going to end good by the time if voice he used.

"Okay, I'm sorry. But I meant why is everyone pissed? I became calm again.

"Do you really want to know?" He asked.

"Yeah, I want to know why Tori ran away from me and Calum was yelling at you."

"Well......" He trailed. "I....."

"Get to the point Michael!"

"Well, I kissed Tori and she, ugh, kissed me back." He looked up at me. He noticed the tears forming in my eyes. "It didn't mean anything I promise!" He added so quickly, it hurt.

"If you are still in love with my best friend," I heard my hurt voice say. "then we are over, completely done." I started to get up and the tears ran down my face.

"But-" Michael started.

"Tell her you love her, Calum won't like it, but she should know." I said and walked out the door and ran home, up the stairs and into my room. Alone, that's is all I wanted to be.
