The space between me and the ground was slimming. Ever so quickly. Losing feet by a matter of small seconds.
Megan gripped my hand. This was her least favorite part, the landing. She always felt as if something would go wrong. For example, the plane could crashed into the ground with an unknown cause.
I looked her in the eyes and smiled. "We're here. It's time to start our new lives." I looked across the isle to our other friends, Ashanti and Jayci. I told them the exact same thing. Since they weren't afraid of flying in a plane they acted excited.
We entered the airport. It was rather busy. People flooded the halls and the plastic chairs at the gates. I saw many business people, which I think makes sense because it's Wednesday. There was a few families but they were scattered about the airport.
I was feeling tired and you could tell the others were too. I concluded it was from the jet lag.
We walked out of the airport. It was a sunny afternoon with a few clouds. We walked right past the part where you rent a car. We read online that there's a car dealership right down the road. Our plan was to get a car for all of us to share.
-
We bought a car, well a minivan. And it was a dark blue, but not quite navy blue. It had room for us and a couple extra people if needed. We drove it to our house that we bought right before we left New York.
We arrived at our new house not long after 3pm. We heard boys screaming from the house next door. It sounded like teenagers or twenty year olds we couldn't decide. All we hoped was that they don't scream 24/7.
-
Our house was all unpacked with an exception of a few boxes surprisingly at 7pm.
We decided to go out clubbing to celebrate our big move. Since I was the most mature one when it comes to drinking, I was nominated as the driver on the way home.
We ended up at this club in the center of town. It had a medium size line to get in. People were dressed in dresses that you could never wear to school. I however was in a skater dress and converse, talk about fancy. Jayci was wearing some pretty short shorts and a tank top she had gotten on our last shopping spree. Ashanti was wearing a black dress that was knee-length with some slick black heels to go along with it. Megan was just like me wearing a skater dress and converse. Her dress varied from mine, her's was pink and mine was a sky blue.
-
We left the club around 2am. Jayci was probably the most drunk I've ever seen her. Which since she doesn't drink a lot usually that isn't that drunk. Megan and Ashanti only had a few drinks and they were fine.
We arrived at our house and I carried Jayci in and up the stairs since she passed out in the back of the car.
We all went to sleep around 2:30am. I laid on my bed for a little bit though just thinking of back home in New York. I will defiantly miss my other friends and family, but I can make new friends here and my family can afford to visit us or have me visit them.
