Chapter 25

Megan's P.O.V.
We searched the whole street before calling Ashton. We were walking back to the house, Ashanti was by my side and Michael and Tori were behind us. Tori was only with Michael because Ashanti refused to let him walk next to us, Tori just gave him company.

We were a couple of houses away from ours, when it started raining. Tori started running, probably because she's wearing her white Blink-182 shirt. Ashanti followed after Tori, she doesn't like rain. Michael and I were left walking. As Tori and Ashanti approached the house, I saw light in the back of the minivan, it quickly went out, no one else noticed it. As the rain got heavier, Michael walked faster. By the time I reached the driveway, everyone else was inside.

I decided to look in mysterious minivan. I was going to open the trunk where I saw the light flash from.  To be honest, I was kind of scared. As my hand gripped the handle of the trunk's door, I started shaking. I could barely bring myself to open it. My eyes were closed when my hand pushed the door as far as it went up.  I opened my eyes and discovered that Calum sitting on the blanket we put back there, he had black notebook, a pen, and his phone.

He looked up at me with desperation in his eyes. But with the way he spoke to me seemed fake, all of it.  "Don't worry Cal, I'll tell her." I was so past done with him. I reached for the trunk door. I slammed it. The last words I heard Cal say were "No, please don't!"

I ran back inside, closing the door behind me.  I took off my combat boots, which were now wet due to the unpredictable rain. I walked into the living room while putting my hair up. I noticed no one was in there. "Hello?" I yell so anyone in the house could hear me.

"Quiet please." Michael said while coming out of the kitchen, holding a glass of soda. "Ashanti and Tori are in the kitchen, getting some chips. We are going to play a game. Sadly, not in video form." 

"Oh, okay." I say looking towards the kitchen.

That's when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." I say while walking over towards the door. I open the door and become face-to-face with my boyfriend. "Oh hey. What are you doing here?"

"Well, I came here not only because I can. But because I wanted to stay the night here. Please?" He asks.

"Yeah, sure. Come in." I said stepping back. "Are Luke and Rylie coming?" 

"Well, last time I checked, Luke had dragged Rylie up the stairs, and it wasn't ended there."

"Oh...."

"Yeah, good thing I knocked before entering. However, I still got Luke in  his Ninja Turtle underwear answering the door." He said shaking his head at the floor. 

I laughed. "Sounds eventful." He laughed at this too. That faded into a smile. Oh my god, his dimples bring me life. I leaded him into the living room, Tori and Michael were setting up the board game and Ashanti was putting the chips in a bowl. "Can we add another player?" I ask looking at Ash.

"I don't know, this game might be a little out of his limits." Tori said giggling. "Yeah, sure. Ash you will be this piece." She said holding up a small metal piece.

"Okay." Ash says while walking towards the game board and sitting next to Michael. He leaves just enough room so I could fit in between him and Tori. God, I love him. I talk to him more than nearly everyday, and everyday I fall in love with him more and more, its so unreal.

Ashanti sets the bowl of chips between her and Michael, the border of chip that seperates the exes. "Highest roll goes first?" Tori suggests.

"Okay." Michael says.

"How about a kiss for good luck?"  Ashton says to me. We lock lips for a good 5 seconds.  Ashton was the one to break the kiss, I was fine with it, but I didn't want it to stop. My heart screams Don't Stop! Don't Stop! every time we kiss. I really wish I knew if Ashton felt like this too.

Surprisingly, Ashton got the highest roll. He rolled the dice again, and got four. He took his metal top hat piece four spaces and landed on an Income Tax space. That didn't affect anything because we just started.

Mid-game Tori's phone ran. She stopped laughing and looked at her phone. Her face dropped. 

Still laughing I asked "What's wrong?".

"It's Theo...."  She got up and answered the phone call.

I didn't see Tori for about 10 minutes. She came back with tears in her eyes. 

"What happened with Theo?" Ashanti asked.

"He was the one.....the one who donated the blood to me in the hospital....."  She stared at her phone continuously. "I can't believe he did that...."
