Chapter 8

Megan's P.O.V.

Jayci has been dead for 38 hours. Tori and Rylie are acting weirder than ever. It's like whenever I bring up the funeral Rylie gets really depressed. Rylie never gets depressed! She's Rylie! Something is going on and I don't know what. I would ask Ashanti if she was around. She is over with Michael. Well, she has been over with Michael she slept there last night. Tori was offered by Calum but she took a glance at Rylie and said no and that it was fine.

I didn't sleep last night. Today I'm not okay or focused. Since it was especially hard to tell Jayci's parents and sister I had nothing left in me. When the phone rang I started crying thinking of the long distance phone call of last night.

I picked up the phone however. "Hello" I managed to say while wiping tears.

"Were you crying?" Ashton's voice made me smile like nothing ever happened.

"Yeah, but I'm fine. What's up?''

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to go out someplace and the rest of the boys can hang out with the other girls."

"Sure. I'll tell them. What time about?"

"Right now. We are already walking over."

I thought "oh shit!" I was a mess "Yeah, uh I just need to change." I hung up and ran up the stairs screaming "Get ready! The boys are on their way over!"

Rylie was first to respond to my sudden call. "Surprises like this are kind of sweet and all but I would like to be fully dressed when they arrived not just in a cami and underwear."

"I don't need to know! I need to get dressed." Tori sassily added to the conversation.

The door bell rang just as I finished putting in my shoes. I ran down the stairs but careful not to fall. I opened the door, took a breath, and smiled. "Hey, you can come in."

They all starred at my lips. Did they want to kiss me?

"You got some lipstick on your face." Luke said awkwardly.

Well I'm an idiot. I took a look in the hallway mirror and removed the lipstick from my face. I then walked to the bottom of the stairs. "Tori! Rylie! Ashanti! Get down here my god!" Shortly after they came down the stairs. "Ashton and I are going out and you 6 are hanging out." I stated like a mother would. "Bye." I took Ashton's hand and left.

Michael's P.O.V.

Tori and Rylie didn't seem okay. Even when watching the movie. Something was bothering them, but I didn't know what. Maybe the Jayci thing is still bothering them, I don't know.

It was midway through the movie. Rylie looked at Tori nodded and excused them. They headed upstairs. I found it suspicious, everyone else didn't seem to care at all. This really bothered me. So much that I loved the movie we were watching but I couldn't concentrate on it.

I kept trying to think of what they could of been doing upstairs. Nothing came to mind, not one thing. You couldn't hear them at all too, felt like the left. Maybe the did leave, they left this old black and white town and didn't look back. Maybe they plotted an escape to get out of this, of everything. I thought this was a good theory until I heard "Oh my god!" from what sounded like Tori. Again no one except me noticed.

"Uh, I'm gonna go check on them." I said and started to walk out of the room.

"Stop talking! We are watching a movie!" Calum hissed back.

I causally walked up the stairs and decided to go towards their rooms. I checked both, they weren't there. I then headed to the other end of the house. They weren't in the bedrooms.

I opened the bathroom door slowly, very slowly. I was looking at the blue tiles and saw no ones feet. I looked up and saw them. They froze in terror. I couldn't believe my eyes at all. They couldn't believe I saw them.

"Please don't tell anyone!" Rylie blurted out.

"Please Michael please." Tori added.

The shame in their eyes was unbelievable. What they were doing was unbelievable. Everything in this scene was unbelievable.

This is going to be hard, not being able to tell. This huge secret. It's Tori's and Rylie's secret though. I just don't know. "Why would you-"

Rylie dropped, what seemed like dead.
