Simon's POV

Ten minutes later, I hear the bell ring. I quickly go there and open the door, only for Annie to shove me to the side and get in by herself.

"Make yourself home, I guess," I commented, closing the door behind me. I can feel her glaring at me, though I have my attention shifted towards Elias.

His jaw is open, and he's so obviously checking her out like a high schooler. I go next to him, and make his presence known to Annie, who just smiles in awe.

"Oh my gosh, Elias, I haven't seen you in years!" She quickly hugs him and pulls away before he could even process what has happened. My chuckle earned me a glare from her, but it was worth it.

"Nice to see you too, Annie." He smiles faintly, but quickly turns to being serious. He gets up from his seat, and gestures Annie to follow him to my office, where the laptop is in. "You're gonna help me, two are better than one, right?"

"Yeap," she agrees and walks past me again, following him eagerly. They lock themselves into the room, leaving me completely on my own.

That frustrating feeling passes right through me again. That feeling that I'm useless and I can't do anything to help. And currently, I really am! But, I swear to God, I will make sure to save them.

Two hours later, as I am in the salon, waiting for them anxiously to finish, I listen to the door slam on the wall. Annie furiously comes out and yells at me: "We found him!"

I jolt up from my seat, grab my car keys, and run outside. I can hear two pairs of footsteps following me. I throw a glance behind my shoulder, and I see Annie and Elias, who is holding his laptop, following me. I open the doors of my car and we all get inside.

"Tell me, where is it?" The belt straps around my shoulder, and under my armpit until I lock it in its place. I've never found the sound of my car's engine so refreshing, until now that I put my keys and start it.

"I'll send the place to your phone's GPS, you drive!" Elias says from the back seat. The sound of the keyboard's keys can be heard over the excited talk from Annie.

"We're gonna catch the bastard! God, I'm gonna call the people at the station no—"

"No!" I yell frantically as I receive the address. I start moving the car, giving side glances at Annie from the mirror. "You won't call them. We don't want the entire city to know! We must be sneaky about it." I take a deep pause as I take a sharp turn. "Besides, it is personal. I will be the one who's going to put his sorry ass to jail."

Elias groans from the back seat. I can see him rolling his eyes, and then push his glasses with his thumb. "Please, don't be selfish about this thing, Simon. We just made up, as well."

"No, I am—" another sharp turn, "not going to be selfish about this. In fact, I'm really grateful that everyone helped me."

"Oh, by the way," Annie stops me, making me glance at her from the mirror once again. "Stop right here."

I stop the car without asking any questions. A person opens the door next to me, and straps himself. A hand gets into my field of vision and gives me a gun. After that, a familiar voice speaks to me.

"Did you think I wouldn't come to the showdown?"

I grab the gun and, after I check the safety, I put it down in the cup holder. A grin is formed on my face, as I start up the engine again. Annie obviously called him before hand, knowing that I would do something reckless.

"Of course not, Alex."

A wave of claps echoes in the entire car, as I make the car move again. I glance at the people inside the vehicle from the mirrors, wondering how we've come to this. Quite the inappropriate time, I know, but I can't help to think about the funny synthesis of this team.

First, we have my brother, whom I hadn' t spoken to in years, and we recently made up. Then, we have Annie, my friend from high school, whom I've never expected to agree with this nonsense. Last but not least, we have Alex, who is probably the best fucking friend I could ask for.

I drove over the speed limit, ready to take on any cops that would want to give me shit. The engine of the Ferrari is grumbling strongly every time I press the pedal to go faster. Annie complains at some point, but I don't care much.

Finally, I hear the robotic voice of my phone saying: "You've reached your destination," making my heart almost leap out of my chest. As though I took an adrenaline shot, I quickly strap myself in out of the car, and see where Elias' cords brought me.

We are outside of a dark alley. Nothing too special; a lot of garbage on the ground, a few cupboard "beds", where homeless were probably sleeping at night. The only odd thing about this alley, is a bright red door, that's next to a dumpster. Its corners are worn off, and it looks old, yet new.

I lock my car, and I knock on the door, the other three behind me. My hand is clutching on my gun inside that's on my belt, ready to shoot the bastard's face if it was truly him. No answer. I knock once more, but this time, by the time my hand makes contact with the old wood, the door opens slightly, letting out a long creak.

I put my palm on it, and give it a strong push. All I see is an empty room. A casual room that maybe a college student would have. White, spotless walls, a small kitchen in the way back, and a table in the middle of it all.

I glance at the others from over my shoulders. Elias nods, while Alex, comes next to me. He puts his hand on my shoulder and nods, a determined look has taken over his face.

He walks in front of me, the gun low on his waste, but in his hands, and I follow behind him. The appartment is creepily minimalistic. The floor was clean, the couch was clean, and there was no sign of that room Tim and Sierra were in when the freak was torturing them.

"Clear!" I hear Elias yelling from behind me. I snap my head to his position, and look at him being in a room behind me, presumably his room. "Hey, Simon, you might want to see this."

I walk towards him and get inside the room. It looks like... A room. Way too casual from a psychotic bastard like him. Elias is over a huge desk right next to the door. His hands were holding some papers, which he immediately gives me.

He hands me a paper of a random woman, whom I remember, but not quite vividly. Perhaps one of his previous victims. I put this paper behind the second, and last one, revealing a hyper realistic drawing of a woman. A woman with long hair. A woman with a thin nose, and slightly chubby cheeks. My wife. Sierra.

There are cuts everywhere in her body. So many that is impossible for me to look at it, without extreme fury taking over my body. I crumble that piece of paper, and throw it on the ground.

"Yo, guys!" Annie's voice snaps me back to reality. Elias and I get out of the room, and see her in the hallway. A black door is behind her, and she is facing it. "Do you think..." her voice trails off, but she stops as she meets Alex gaze.

He steps in front of a us all, and holds the door with his palm. "We'll never know, unless we get inside."

"True," I agree. I look back at the other two. "Shall we get inside?" They all nodded, and I put my head back in front of me.

I look intensely at the door, only one thought crossing my mind.

I've found you, Charlie.
