Ring ring ring...

His alarm clock rang at 9am.
He looked at his clock and he froze. He looked at his calendar and stared. He looked back at his clock, his gears slowly spinning. He continued for about two minutes before his roommate came in with a mug of coffee in his hand.

"Yo, Diaz aren't you late for class? Remember it was Day light savings."

With that, his eyes opened wide. "FUUUUUUUUUCK!!"

He ran out of bed and realized he had 30 minutes before school started, not the usual hour and a half. He darted to the restroom, brushed his teeth, washed his face and peed. He looked at the clock. 20 minutes. "FUUUUUUUUCK!!" He grabbed his towel and dried his face. He darted out out of the bathroom and ran to his room and searched for underwear, socks, jeans, anything that was clean.

He turned to his calendar and saw LAUNDRY. He forgot. He needed at least 5 minutes to get to the laundromat. He sat there, just in his underwear and thought to himself "I'm gonna be late for my final."

Then, like an angel from heaven, his roommate walked in with a pair of jeans, underwear, socks, and a shirt. "Got your stuff while you were screaming like a kid. Here you go." Diaz was too shocked to move and was between frantically getting dressed, crying in joy, or hugging his roommate. "Diaz, you have 18 minutes to get to class. Jump in joy later." He placed his clothes on his bed and like a cat jumped up and started getting dressed. He got his backpack, his laptop, and his bike key. "You have 15 minutes dude. Here's your breakfast. Here's a small thanks for all the help you've given me before. Now GET GOING DICKHEAD!!" with that, Diaz ran out and got to his bike. He looked a his watch. 12 minutes. He unlocked his bike. 11 minutes.

He put on his helmet, and took off. He sped down the sidewalk like crazy. He darted left and right, rode next to cars, went through bushes and got chased by dogs. He saw his clock. 5 minutes. He had no choice. It was time for a short cut. He rode through the park that had a NO BIKE rule and instantly got yelled at. The park security was immediately chasing him on bike too... which made no sense. He looked down. 3 minutes. He had to go faster. He got to the door of the building. One minute left and the gaurd was still chasing him. "IM LATE FOR A FINAL! GIVE ME A TICKET, BUT PLEASE LOCK MY BIKE. NAMES DIAZ BYE." With that he ran inside and saw he had 30 seconds to go up 2 flights of stairs.

The door locks as he pulls on the doorknob. He was late for his final exam. He was late to class for the first time in his whole college career. He stares at the knob and bops his head on the door, still wearing his helmet so you just hear a *think*

He hears a light tap on the door window. He slowly looks up expecting his professors grumpy face grinning pointing at the clock. Instead he's met by those unforgettable eyes. The same eyes he always gets lost in. He forgot she was the TA. She smiled and opens the door. "Professors not here, he's in the restroom. That was one hell of a run there Diaz."

He can only make a weird groan sound that sounds like a yes. She laughs and he feels sweat on his face. He hopes its from the run and not from blushing too hard. "Come on, he's only out for a few. Sit down." He walks in and is met by everyones eyes. One guy in the back claps slowly. "Nice run Diaz." He sits down and is congratulated by his classmates. He smiles awkwardly and sits down. They all wait patiently for the professor to return when theres a bang on the door. The security gaurd. "Oh shit." Diaz gets down and hides. "Please don't tell him I'm here."

The TA walks to the door and opens.

"Is there a Diaz here?"

"Sorry officer, he isn't here. He was late and now can't take his exam. He'll be back to pick up his 0... maybe. May I ask what he's done?"

"He crossed Orona park on a bike. Said he was late for his exam. I don't mean to ruin his day more, so if you don't mind telling him that he dropped his breakfast and that his bike is locked up? Poor kid. Good day miss...?"

"Hazel is fine. I'll leave the message. So long officer." She closed the door and chuckled. "So, is there a criminal missing his breakfast?" Diaz slowly stood up and chuckled shyly. Everyone in class laughed. "Well well Mr. Diaz, guess I have to report this. See you after class to discuss this issue." She had a serious face and everyone went "Ooooooh." He was embarrassed and was worried he'd be failed but just as she turned he caught a glimpse of her lip slightly curling into a smirk, the same smirk from their dance. He realized he was gonna be okay.
