Diaz did promise himself to talked to Hazel and explain for his actions from last night but he couldn't seem to find her in her usual study spots. He tried to call her but it went straight to voicemail. He didn't leave a message and regretted it afterwards but thought he would find her soon.
For the next three days both Diaz and Hazel didn't really talked or ran into each other until Friday hit. They had a lecture class together and this one was going to be their last. It was a presentation towards the research papers they've made in the past. It was to pick the best five papers and have them sent to big time scientists in order for their work to be published. Everyone had a 10 minute presentation and at the end they vote. One after another went and presented. Then Hazel and then Diaz. Afterwards they voted and the five chosen stayed after class to speak with the professor. Two of them being both Diaz and Hazel. Once the professor had explained everything they were dismissed.
Walking out of the class Hazel couldn't handle this silence anymore and wanted to confront Diaz. After all they just finished their last class of the week. So she walked up to him and his group of friends and lightly tapped on his shoulder.
"Hey Diaz can we talk later tonight. Meet at my place at 7 pm okay bye." And without him saying a response she left. The guys just watched her walk away and then turned to Diaz and started to playfully make fun of him.
"Ohh dude looks like someone's in trouble with miss spicy over there."
"Better watch out Diaz. Cover your balls. Those boots can do some damage." As they all laughed at their cruel remarks.
These guys always tend to tease Diaz about his friendship with her and why they haven't fucked yet. Diaz always protects her and says they are just friends. But the boys never have it. Diaz knows if he won't go after Hazel then the boys will have their fun with her. But he knows Hazel is strong and independent and won't let a boy use her. But wait he kinda used her earlier this week. "Is that why she's avoiding me? Because I got intimate with her. Uhhh I really shouldn't have waited so long to explain myself." Again mentally beating himself up.
"Yo guys I gotta get going then. Eric let's go man."
"Aww leaving so soon pretty boy. Come on we were only playing around. Yea she a nice girl and all but damn would I love to get me a piece of that cake. Hmmm... the way those tight jeans making her look hella sexy as she walked away from you. Ain't I right boys."
All shaking their heads in agreement.
Tony the tall tatted guy always has these disgusting remarks about any girl that comes his way. He never treats them right. Always a new girl to fuck ever weekend. How Diaz and Tony were in the same friend group was all a mystery. Maybe it could be because he was his dealer and a pretty chill dude once you look past the tattoos and his rude remarks."Hey look tough guy stop looking at girls as an object. Just because I haven't fucked her doesn't mean I don't want too." He quickly bite his tongue as he realized what he just said. "Shit."
All eyes are on him now. Even Eric is surprised at what he just said. "So there is something going on interesting."
"Well well well pretty boy ain't so nice as we sought him to be. Alright then why haven't you done it yet to afraid to get your feelings hurt or something. Come on man there's a frat party this Sunday. Chill with us and we'll help you get into her pants."
Diaz knew this was a bad idea to agree to hanging out with them at the party but he wasn't trying to wuss out. He just needed to be cautious and tell Hazel everything before Sunday hit otherwise she would just think it was a one time hook up.
