He waited until it was 7:30. He wondered if she'd eaten anything between the last class and her lab. He went out, bought some food and texted her.
-Hey Hazel. Are you going to be in your usual study corner? I have a lil something.
He began walking to the library when he saw her walking ahead of him. She looked just as beautiful distracted with her thoughts than when she smiled... that was a lie. She was beautiful already, but smiling she was breathtaking. He walked up behind her quietly and waited, but she didn't turn. They walked in the library and went her normal route. He went to her left side when she'd turn right, and right side when she turned left. He walked quietly and kept hearing her muttering to herself. "*inaudible* ....part of the body does... *inaudible* how can the joint not *inaudible*" He simply walked until he saw her famous corner. They walked and she set her things down on the table. He was still standing there until the idea of being quiet was too weird for him.
Diaz lifted the bah "Hey, so I broug-"
"AHHHHH!!!" Hazel screamed quickly and turned fast, using the only thing she had in her vicinity as a weapon, her 5 lb textbook. She closed her eyes and spun quickly, hearing a THOOM and an AGH as the book hit something solid. She opened her eyes and she froze. What she saw she never expected. She saw Diaz hunched over to the side with a bag that seemed to be filled with food. He grabbed his face where the book hit him and she saw the book had some blood."DIAZ POR QUE- WHAT THE FUCK!!"
"SHHHHHHH!"Someone in the library told her to be quiet.
She grabbed the food and placed it on the table, as well as the book. She went down on one knee.
"Diaz, I am so sorry. I told you I hit people when im scared! Why!"
Diaz looked at her, still grabbing his face. "I thought you were hungry. Brought you something."
"Ai Diaz estás sangrando. Hold up I think I have an alcohol wipe and a bandage somewhere in my bag."
"No no Haz I'm fine trust me."
"Hmm yea no. Let me just quickly clean you up."
"Ow!!"
"Sorry sorry. Okay there much better."
"SHHHHH."
"YOU SHHHHH"
Diaz had a small bump above his left eyebrow with a soccer cover bandage to help the blood to stop flowing and for it to clot. Hazel just looked at him trying to calm herself down for hurting him until her expression change and she realized this was his fault. She punched him in the arm.
"Hey!! What was that for?"
"That was for sneaking up on me and scaring me. And this is for bringing too much food into the library. Dude we can only have snacks here, come on Diaz."
"Okay okay so I might've over done it but come on you can't be mad at me that long now can you?"
He said with a sly smirk knowing he was right. She turned her head slightly towards him and said "Yea your right I can't be mad at you for that long. But we do have to take the food somewhere else before we get kicked out. Head over to my place?"
"No I have a better idea."
They grabbed all their belongings and headed out of the library. Taking the path to Diaz's apartment. Once they arrived he said to keep going up the flight of stairs till they reach the sixth final floor. They enter a door that leads them to a roof that is filled with a community garden. Hazel looks in awe and forgot that his apartment had this place. It was filled with fairy lights and a couple of couches and benches with tables.
"Diaz why haven't we been up here more often than going to my place?"
"Well it wasn't always that pretty if you don't remember the last time we came. I was just waiting till the elder ladies would let me help them fix a couple of touches."
"Well you did a hell of a job. I like it, i feel at peace. But I'm also hunger so let's eat then study okie."
"Sure dig in."
