Battle of the bands

Chapter 8.

Charlie's POV:

Skype password. Skype password. Skype password. Was all that was going through my mind. About half an hour ago I had received a direct message through YouTube from Niall Horan again! In the message he had asked if we could Skype. I found that a bit weird. I mean, what kind of a celebrity would ask to Skype some random YouTuber. Heaps of thoughts flicked through my mind as I read over the message for what felt like 100 times. What if it's a prank? What if it isn't actually Niall Horan? What if it's a pedophile that wants to kidnap us and- "Charlie!" Jade called me sucking me out of my daydreaming about who this 'Niall Horan' could actually be.

"Charlie this is so exciting why aren't you calling him?" Natalie asked me. I told the girls as soon as I got the message, they were here when I received it- as we had a sleepover- and Natalie was literally crying when I told her. I think Jade had her suspicions about this as well, because she didn't seem to fond of using her Skype account to do the call her excuse being 'In case SOMEHOW her mother would be able to find out how she was Skyping a complete stranger'. That is why at 8:30am on the school holidays, I was wide awake on my laptop trying to create a Skype account. I felt as though every Skype name in history had been taken but I finally settled on guitarqueen32 < Natalie's suggestion and was now trying to think of a password.

"Will you hurry up!" Natalie yelled getting impatient.

"Just hang on!" I replied with attitude. "Did any one of you call Alyssa?" I asked remembering the little annoying human who was our drummer.

"Yeah" Natalie answered flipping her phone in her hand "She'll be here soon"

"Ugh" Jade rolled her eyes. I glared at Jade before continuing back to my Skype account. Jade and Alyssa did not have the best relationship. They were either fighting- physically- which would always resolve in crying, only Jade though because Alyssa never cried, never. Or they were just annoyed with each other. Some days they could get along really well, today was not one of those days.

I finished my account details and checked the YouTube messages again. I had replied to Niall:

Oh my gosh are you serious!!! Yes we are awake and would love to Skype we'll call in about 30 minutes. Xx

Whoops. I thought to myself.

I searched up his name and sure enough it was there. A private username. NIALL HORAN GAVE US HIS PERSONAL SKYPE USERNAME.

I clicked on the call button and we all sat around the laptop, not bothering to wait for Alyssa. After about 10 rings he finally picked up. We all squealed as we watched his face come into view.

"Hello!" He greeted waving at the camera.

Silence.

"Hello?" He asked again after waiting.

"Um hi" I said to the camera getting embarrassed as to how star struck we all were.

He laughed then continued "What time is it over there?" His Irish accent was so freaking cute.

"It's 8:30 in the morning" Jade smiled at the camera.

"Oh, did I wake you" he asked guiltily

"No- well yeah but it's okay" I said to the camera.

"Oh, ha sorry, anyways I wanted to talk to you guys in person about something that's why I Skyped"

"Okay" Natalie replied waiting for him to go on. Just then Alyssa walked in through the door.

"Hi" she mumbled rubbing her eyes "Why did you wake me up this early for?" She asked a bit annoyed.

"Well" I said pointing to laptop.

"Oh My God it's Niall Horan" she screamed causing Niall to laugh. "Hello, hello" she said inspecting the camera to see if it was a prank.

"Hi, hi" he replied which made Alyssa giggle.

"Okay not to be rude by why the heck are you talking to Niall Horan?" Alyssa asked still using his surname.

"I'm gonna explain that" Niall announced with his hand up.

"Ooh okay go" Alyssa said sitting in front if the camera. He started laughing before continuing.

"Well I had been watching you guys for ages and just wanted to tell you how much of a big fan I am!"

Alyssa gasped.  "Really" she asked getting excited. "Yes, really" Niall teased.

"Do you know what my name is?" Alyssa asked again. "Yes" he replied.

"Did you hear that Niall Horan knows my name" Alyssa said to me making Niall and I laugh.

"Tell us our names then" Jade challenged. "Okay" he replied with ease "Alyssa, Charlie, Jade and Natalie" he said trying to point to each of us through the camera which didn't really work. 

We all laughed and continued  talking for the next hour. Niall has to go because it was getting late so we bid our goodbyes and promised to Skype again soon.
