Battle of the bands

Chapter 2.

Charlie's POV:

I woke up to Alyssa laughing.

What on earth is that child doing now? I thought.

I opened my eyes slowly only to see Alyssa and Jade with a bucket of water.

"Wait-NO!" I screamed as they poured it on top of me completely soaking me and the beanbag.

"What the hell guys" I shouted trying to grab onto Jade's leg as she ran away. She just made it past me Alyssa following behind but I was quick to react and latched on to her ankle causing her to fall forwards.

"Jadie HELP!!" she cried

"Sorry every man for themselves!" Jade teased and bolted to the door going into the kitchen.

Just then Natalie woke up.

"Ugh what are you guys doing" she said her voice dry from sleep.

She looked like she was about to doze off again until she saw me strangling Alyssa's leg.

"Oh my gosh Hahahhaah" Natalie started but soon stopped as I gave her a glare.

I sighed and stood up dragging the drenched beanbag out into the backyard. It was a sunny day, well of course it was it's the near end of November 2013- the end of spring.

For us Australia at least.

"At least they'll dry quickly" Alyssa said out loud

"Wait for your payback baby, you'd better have one eye open at night" I said to her trying my best to look scary.

She gave a scared look at first but then her expression changed into a smirk.

"Will do Charlie will do" she said before waltzing, no literally waltzing back into the house.

Strange child.

As I lay the bean back on the old concrete floor I decided that I would come out here later for a tan.

In that short amount of time my clothing had half dried.

Aussie sun for you I thought as I walked into the kitchen.

Natalie, Alyssa and my mum were sitting at the bench eating coco pops, well except for Alyssa she was eating Nutella and bananas on toast. And wait was that vegemite? Eh. I shuddered how could people eat that stuff.

A lot of people stereo type Australians. Like apparently we cook shrimps on the barbecue? Um no. 1. we don't call them shrimps 2. no Aussie that I know of cooks seafood on the barbecue. Or what about how there are kangaroos everywhere?

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention that we all know how to surf? Like no. Actually well I do know how to surf and so do the girls but that's beside the point.

"GUYS!" Jade's scream woke me from my internal conversation

"Guys we have 100,456 subscribers" she shouted "no wait- we have 100,457"

"Oh my gosh what!?" I shouted excitedly

"No way" Natalie whispered

Alyssa just sat there with a look of awe on her face.

"How did we even-"

"It was the video of Alyssa" Jade cut me off

"WHAT!?" Alyssa spoke finally. "Noooo, this is so embaressing" she whined covering her face.

"Hey just think of it this way" Natalie started- "you have us like 80,000 more subscribers! Think of how much money we're gonna earn!"

"Ohh yeah, I guess" Alyssa sighed happily
