Battle of the bands

Chapter 9.

Third persons POV:

The girls were beyond excited. They had just been asked by Niall Horan from One Direction to be the opening for their whole WWA tour. "The soldiers" had never expected anything like this to come from their band. Sure, they had secretly dreamt of becoming famous and touring the world. But of course, that was only in their imagination. Now their dreams were becoming true. Although it's not that easy.

After speaking with Niall, Charlie had told him that they would be more than willing to do such a thing, but, wasn't sure whether or not they would be allowed to. Charlie's parents would have of course agreed, as they were more of the laid back type, and knew of their daughters dreams and talents. Jade's parents are a little bit more tough, although they didn't have any ideas of what they wanted their daughter to be- anything she wanted was their answer, and this is of course what she wanted. Natalie's parents however, had a goal set up for their daughter, to finish high-school with straight A's and make it into the best university of Melbourne.

Then there was Alyssa. Charlie didn't see any way, in any shape or form, that Alyssa's parent would agree to such thing. They were very protective over Alyssa, especially coming from a rough past. Which no one dared to talk about. Alyssa was only 13, going on 14, but jeez, that kid had some talent. Her drum teacher was amazed when she first started lessons, picking it up very quickly, her determination soon got her to a very high level, in which most of the 16 year olds are at now. There was no way Alyssa wasn't born for this.

Charlie had told Niall what she believed their parents would say, but he still obliged and insisted they sent a meeting of managers over to Australia to discuss it. There was no way he would choose another band. Charlie had agreed to his idea, but not before going through the thrath of telling the parents...

Charlie's POV:

"So I invited you all over here today to discuss something very important" I said nervously to all of the girls parent watching me in anticipation. I had invited them all over for "supper" as my mother would say to discuss "the situation".

I cleared my throat before coninuing eyeing the girls who looked just as nervous as myself siting next to their parents. "So as you all know a while ago we were noticed by Niall Horan from One Direction" their parents' faces lit up. If the only knew what was coming. "and through a lot of discusion between them, their managemnt and us, um," I stopped, closing my eyes, afraid of the outcome. "They asked us to be their opening for their upcoming tour" I whispered opening my eyes to see all the parents, accept one, staring at me with wide eyes.

"What did she say" Natalie's mum, the one who didn't seem shocked asked. "That one direction has asked them to be the opening for their tour!!" my mother screamed, getting excited. "Oh" was all Natalie's mum replied.

"So" Jade spoke up "we asked you here because we obviously wanted your permisison and input" they all stayed silent. "Um, Niall had told us, if we did get permision, they were going to sned a part of their management here to discuss and have a meeting, which you all are welcome to."

"I don't know what to say" Jade's mum said. "is this what you really want sweetie" she asked Jade sadly. "Yes mum, it is" she replied smiling. "well if this is what Jade wants then I'm going to let her, she almost 16 anyway" she muttered softly.

"How will you be taken care of though? you can't expect you guys to just catch a plane to England without any plans or" Natalie's mum fussed by I interrupted "Thats what the meeting is for, they will discuss how we will be living, taken care of, how the shows will work, how we will get paid and so on".

"But Natalie you have such a bright future" Natalie's dad told her, playing with her hair. Natalie snatched her hair out of his hand. "This is my future" she napped and this is what I want, please" she said giving her best puppy dog eyes. "We will see at this meeting" he mumbled back. "yay" she squealed hugging him tightly.

"I'm fine with it" my mum said."Thanks mum" I said to her giving her hand a light squeeze. We all turned to Alyssa expecting the worst. "I dont know" Alyssa's dad mumbled. "I really want this for you sweetie, its just" he looked at his wife. "We'll see". Alyssa gave him a sad look but gave me a secret thumbs up. "Okay, well i'll email Niall letting him know!" I squealed running to my bedroom.
