Battle of the bands

Chapter 3

Alyssa's POV:

I finished the last smash against the cymbals, letting the loud, ringing sound to echo. Music to my ears. Literally.

"That was good guys, let's take a water break" said Charlie once we had finished.

"Thank God" Natalie said breathing heavily.

We trudged back into Charlie's house. We spend most of our time here, either practising or making videos or even just coming here to eat. Charlie's mum always has the best food.

"So I was thinking" Jade started drinking a sip of water then continuing

"That our next cover could be the song Midnight Memories by One Direction" she said leaning against the counter.

"Ok?" Charlie questioned "Why"

"Coz"

"Coz why"

"Because I want to, plus the song is really good and would be fun" Jade stated smiling.

"Alright, when should we do it?" Natalie asked

I can't be stuffed right now, please don't say right now. I thought crossing my fingers.

"Well I'm really tired right now but we can search up the lyrics and the music afterwards I guess" Charlie answered.

Thank the heavens! I cheered in my mind.

"Can we watch a movie" I asked hopefully

Charlie rolled her eyes along with every one else.

"Sure" Jade said as we walked upstairs towards her bedroom.

No one needed an answer they already knew that I would force them to in the end.

"Ok ok we are watching Grown Ups!" I squealed as we arrived in Charlie's bedroom.

Her bedroom consisted of white walls with a black floral kind of pattern on the back wall that had the queen bed of white and pink sheets sitting against it. Her carpet was black and white swirls that matched perfectly with the surrounding photo frames that were scattered across her wall, with pictures of her family, us and her little brothers.

"Ugh not again" Natalie sighed.

"Yes again" I corrected her smiling proudly

Grown Ups is the BEST movie ever and I have to watch it every time I come to Charlie's house.

"Ok I'm gonna get the pop corn" Jade sighed standing up and skipping out of the room.

"Make it extra buttery!!" I shouted out of Charlie's door down the stairs.

"Ok!" She shouted back

"Alrighty I've found the lyrics and the music I'm gonna print them out and we can go over them, alright?" Charlie said with her eyes glued to her laptop.

"Ok" I replied focusing back on looking for the Grown Ups case in the massive collection of movies Charlie had.

Just then my phone beeped.

Mum: Joe is gonna be over in 10 minutes hurry up! Xx

"Oh crap!" I said frustratedly

"What's wrong?" Jade asked as she came back into the room with the bowl of fresh, buttery pop corn.

"I have my drum lesson" I fake cried into Natalie's shoulder.

"Awww take this with you then, maybe you can work on it" Charlie mumbled passing me the still warm sheets of paper from the printer.
