They decided to head back around eight so they dropped me off at my aunts and told me I could stop by anytime I wanted to or needed to. I walked into my house and my aunt was sitting on the couch, "I see you found out who the greasers were." She said with a wink.
"What do you mean?" I asked a little confused.
"That group of boys who dropped you off are the greasers. I think their okay kids. You gonna be around their house a lot?" She was firing me with questions it seemed.
"I might. Is that okay?" I had to ask.
"Sure hun whatever makes you feel comfortable!" Aunt Suzy was always the cool aunt. I called her when I got drunk at 16 and she was totally cool with it. My mom is the opposite they always forced me to be the perfect kid. I never like to talk about this but my dad was the mayor so I always had to be formal and having fun wasn't fun.
"I know it's early and all but I think I'm going to go to bed. The trip was long and I also had a long day." I said. She wished me a good night while her and Anthony continued to watch Tv.
I went upstairs and threw on pajamas then laid my body onto my nice warm bed and drifted off into a deep dreamless sleep.
I woke up around 9 the next day and rubbed my eyes. I proceeded to roll out of bed and put on a striped red shirt, a jean skirt, a jacket, and converse. (Shown above) I didn't put the jacket on quite yet because I was inside my house and it was a little hot. I decided to do light makeup. Just foundation, mascara, and lipgloss.
I walked out of my room and down the stairs to see my aunt making pancakes. I took one, "thanks now I'm going to The Curtis house. Love ya!" I said the end louder since I was walking out of the door.
I seen someone walk into the Curtis house and I think it was Steve so at least I know I can come this early. I walked to their house and knocked on the door. I heard some confused voices from inside. Darry then opened the door, "oh hi Cali, you know you don't have to knock just don't slam the door." He eyed Steve and Two-Bit and they shared a high five. I just nodded then went to sit on the empty cushion on the couch.
I started up a conversation with the shy Johnny that barely talks, "hi Johnny right?" I knew his name I just needed him to respond.
"Uh yah your Cali right?" He asked.
"That's What people call me. So what's up Johnny? You don't seem to talk very much." I asked.
"I'm just a little shy I guess." He began to look down. Then when he started to look up His eyes glew. I turned around and seen Dallas walking this way. "What up Dally." Johnny said very chill.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me with Ponyboy?" He asked staring harshly at me.
"Um just us three?" Johnny asked and dally nodded, "Well could Cali tag along?" He asked looking down.
"I don't see why you would want to invite her but whatever man." He walked off and out the door.
"Man, how do you guys stand him?" I thought I whispered.
"He's a tough one to crack but once you get to know him Dal can be a pretty good guy." Soda said walking into the living room,
"I don't want to know him!" I spoke up. "He's rude to me all of the time and we literally just met so two can play at that game."
I didn't really talk much more I decided that I just wanted to sit back relax and watch Mickey. I'm going to have to gain a lot of energy to have to face Dallas again. I have until six when I see him again and it's currently 1. This is gonna be a long day.
Five hours later
I must've drifted off because when I woke up I was being shaken by Soda, "hurry up Cali or they'll leave ya!" He yelled as I shot up.
"Awe look the little princess finally got out of bed." Dally scoffed.
"Awe look the little idiot doesn't know how to shut up!" I said being even sassier than Dallas was.
Johnny and Pony rushed us outside apparently it's some Paul Newman movie they just happen to be obsessed with. Of course on the way there Johnny and Pony were rambling leaving Dallas and I trailing behind them. "What's your problem with me?" I asked looking in any other direction that Dallas wasn't in.
"You want honest or should I save that for another day?" He questioned.
"Give me whatever." I rolled my eyes.
"I ain't gonna give you the full truth cause I'm going to watch a movie soon and I'm not trying to have you ruin it so let's just say for now trust issues or some crap like that."  He rolled his eyes and started to walk faster.
I fastened my past so I was now walking besides Ponyboy. We were walking for about two minutes before reaching the drive in. I was about to go to pay when someone grabbed my wrist aggressively, "Oh sweetheart we don't need to pay." It was Dally. I yanked my hand away.
"Don't call me sweetheart!" I demanded
We walked over to this gate with a hole at the bottom. Ponyboy and Johnny went in and Dallas gestures for me to go. I went under I no problem.
"Oh so the princess can get dirty?" He attempted to mock.
"That's not what I consider getting dirty darling." I winked.
"I like where this is going." Dally said under the gate and then brought his body so our bodies were only inches away. He moved closer and whispered in my ear, "Trust me Doll I can get what I want."
"Oh can you now?" I moved my face so that if one of us were to speak our lips would touch. I decided to tease him because all he really wants is to have a one night stand. I hit his lower lip then brought my head so I could whisper in his ear, "if you think I'm easy to crack then you clearly haven't been paying attention to me." I parted our faces. "Man I hate you." I said with a smirk and walked away.
"You're not so perfect yourself." He mumbled.
I walked over to where I seen Johnny and pony sitting. I sat next to them and tried to focus on the movie. I soon felt someone come by me. I looked over and seen Dallas sitting in the chair next to me already beginning to mess with another girl. Well I guess I should have some fun too.
There were two guys behind us both looked like they were from the greaser side of town. I turned around and eyed both of them then winked. Before I knew it, one of them had their hand on my chair and face right next to mine.
"Hey there cutie what are you doing over here when you should be sitting next to me?" He asked.
"Why don't you tell me your name and then I'll move." I suggested.
"I'm Tim, Tim Shepard. And what's your name Darling?" He asked.
"Cali, cali Smith." I said with a smirk as I got up and made sure I hit Dallas' legs on my way out of the row. Once he seen me sitting next to that guy his eyes widened.
"Really you have to be with Tim out of all people Tim?" He asked in a judgey tone.
"Gotta be better than you." I said tiring my face away from his.
"I see you know good old Dallas. Him and I go way back. We fight quite a lot." He told me.
"I don't care I really hate him." I emphasized hate him so Dallas could definitely hear.
"Do you? There seems to be some history or chemistry I can't tell which." He said.
"It's neither. Now shut up and kiss me!" He didn't hesitate anymore his lips came crashing onto mine.
I honestly couldn't tell you a thing about that movie I was to busy making out. After the movie Tim just left like I suspected and I looked around to see no Dallas. "Where'd Dallas go?" I asked.
"I don't know man he seemed mad he just stormed out." Johnny said.
"Well I'll walk with you guys home because I wanna see Soda." I said and they both nodded. We ended up walking Johnny to the lot. Apparently that's where he sleeps. Then we walked to the Curtis house.
I walked in and didn't see anyone. Ponyboy told me he would go get Soda for me. Soon enough soda walked out but Pony stayed in their room. "What brings you here Cal?" He asked.
"Can we just talk?" I asked him with a hint of concern pondering my voice.
         "What's up kid?" He asked.
"I'm actually older than you but whatever." I laughed at my own joke and he lightly hit me. "What's happened in Dallys past that makes him such a jerk?"
"Wow starting off strong. Um I don't know much. I know he was born in New York and raised in a cruel gang until he got arrested at ten. His mom died when he was young and his dad doesn't even care. Ever since then he just Well gets into trouble for fun." He shrugged. "Is he getting to you?"
"No way! It's just when he talks to anyone he has this cold tone. And today he left the movies angered and I was just wondering if there's like some girlfriend or something that could've caused that." I sort of asked.
"Are you starting to care about his feelings?" Soda laughed and I harshly disagreed. "Maybe He was mad at you?"
"I wasn't even bothering him though. I was-" I was cut off by Dallas rushing through the door.
"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with your new-" why do people keep getting cut off. This tile Darry came downstairs.
"Can you guys please just move whatever your talking about outside or in the morning?" Darry asked sleepy. We all nodded as Darry walked upstairs.
"I'm just gonna head home then." I said keeping my head down as I walked out the door. I slowly walked over to my house and came in the door. I looked at the small time shown in the kitchen saying "12:50" I walked upstairs and decided to finally go to bed.
