After the awkward trip to Dairy Queen we decided to drive back to the church. As dally was pulling into the grassy field we seen smoke from a distance. "What's that?" I asked pointing to the smoke.
As we drove closer Ponyboy dhouted, "the church is on fire!" Before dally could even pull into a full stop Ponyboy jumper out and ran to the group outside of the church.
"Ponyboy get back here!" I shouted watching him run from the crowd of people to the inside of the church. As I looked around then I seen Johnny jump out to follow him. "Dally you better not jump out of this car too!" I demanded.
"What should we do?" He asked staring coldly at the group.
"Ugh let's go we can maybe help some way without going inside alright?" I kind of questioned. I know how overprotective dally gets.
"Fine but you are definitely not going on the church." He said jumping out of the car then waiting for me to follow behind. Dallys mindset was in the right place he wants me and the baby to be safe and he can't risk that.
We walked around the side and Dally threw a rock at what used to be a window. "Are you two okay?" I asked from a distance. Neither of us went in the church but dally peeped his head in a bit.
"Yea but can you two take these kids?" Johnny asked handing one through the window. Dally gave me the kid who had a bit of ash on their face and I leading him towards his parents. We continued the process but instead we both started to take children from the church then directing them to their group. Dally then took the last kid and pushed him gently towards the group.
"Come on Pony and Johnny get out of there it's about to collapse!" I yelled as we see the two shuffling over to us. Pony manges to come through the small window as Dally throws him on the ground to get the fire off of his shoulder. I attempt to pull Johnny out but before he could've even lift himself up and out of the window, a big piece of wood fell right on his back. "Johnny no!" I scream as I pull myself into the church to grab Johnny. I put him over my shoulder then dragged him out the window. Shockingly I didn't get hurt but Johnny Definitely did.
The next thing I know is I hear sirens and see flashing lights coming from all different angles. I see Johnny be put in one ambulance, Pony in one, then Dally and I in another.
"Did you see how Johnny was doing?" Dally asked curiously.
"A big chunk of wood fell on his back. I mean I can't guarantee anything because I'm definitely not a doctor." I said with a slight smile trying to lighten the mood.
"Baby ya know what I told you earlier?" Dally asked. I looked at him confused. "I to you not to go in the church but baby girl I want to thank you for being you and not listening to me otherwise Johnny would most definitely be dead." Dally smiled grabbing my hand. I smiled with him as we sat there in peace.

As we arrived at the hospital Dally got strolled out on a stretcher as I followed behind him. The people pushing the stretcher told me I had to wait in a waiting until they say otherwise. I sat beside Ponyboy as we watched our two beloved ones get strolled to somewhere you never want to see someone strolled into. I laid my head back and closed my eyes trying to adapt to what was happening. I was almost asleep to my own thoughts until I heard a ding of the elevator ring.
I looked over to the side where the elevator was located at and I seen Darry and Soda rush out as Ponyboy quickly ran to them. I couldn't hear much on their conversation but I head Soda say he thought he lost him like he did their mom and dad. I still always feel bad for them. I know I don't have parents in my life but what I've heard from mostly Dally but also some other people I heard they were the best. Dally said him and mrs.curtis were very close and she kept him from getting locked up in the cooler so much.
The two boys separated from pony and seen me over in the chair and approached me. "Cali it's going to be okay." Soda said as he hugged me. I just started to realize I'm and have been crying.
"I can't lose him." I sob into sodas shoulder.
"I know you can't but nothing major happened to Dally he'll be fine." Soda said reassuringly.
"But what if Johnny doesn't make it and then I lose a part of Dally and then I'd be losing Johnny too."I cry out.
"Everything will work out why don't you go sit down again and maybe sleep or something." He suggested.
I walked over to my chair but now that everything was hitting me I let my eyes close but I was never going to be able to sleep until I can see Dally again.
